Man! I used to love this show from FX. I wish it was still on. It was cool to see everyone's collections. This is by far one of the best! The LIS Robot was always my favorite.
Cool robot collection for 1996. A lot of them are vintage by now. I would also like to add the pretty Asian American interviewer to my own collection LOL!!
Damn! Wish I could have Robbie from Forbidden Planet. Maybe also the Robot from Lost In Space. The android from Metropolis would also be great to own !
Nevermind my question, I was watching as I typed and saw you built your own bots. The original was in Encino, I think, when I used to patronize that camera store.
I wish I could find a commercial for the robot calld "Yakkity Yob" that came out in the very early 60's. I had one the year it came out, but have only been able to locate a picture of it online.
Yes I still have the collection only its has grown from 600 toys to over 4000 toys. You can find videos of it this year in my Robothut channel. The problem with the Collectors show on MeTV is they are set on the money value of a collection and for me as a collector I do not care about the money value. when I add something to the collection it is not about the money.
@@Robothut I understand completely. I have a small collection of Robby and lost in space robots. It's not about the money, it's about collecting and enjoying the robots. Cheers!
Soon we will see the situation in the 1962 film "creation of the humanoids" where women prefer to marry male robots specifically adapted to them......and the human race is dieing out!
The designer shows his terminal geekdom, b/c he had a hot Asian chick in the Hut and didn't even ask her out. But it appears he's both a skilled and lucky geek.
Never heard of it either. Must be from the 50's or early 60's. I'm 60 and never heard of it and all boys who grew up in the late 60's-mid 80's were robot nuts.
