I can't say I understand your niche, but there is something very compelling about your footage. Obviously your technique is stellar (both the exposure and the gimbal work are impressive, and in challenging conditions to boot), but it's more than that. You've got a good eye for sustaining interest. Well done.
My brother, even I do not understand my niche 😅 But its a lot of fun to hone technique and get out for contemplative walks. Its like Tai Chi with a camera. And I get to share neat stuff. I really appreciate the affirmation you've given me this morning. Best wishes in getting your channel up and running. I'll love to see where it goes.
Lot's of noise in shadows. I think if this was shot at 24fps 1/50 or even 30fps 1/60 it would look much better. 1/100 for shutter. That's gonna hammer low light capabilities. Great vid!
If you take a swing back through my archives I am well aware of the benefits of rolling 24 in low light. Sometimes I do like 60 though. 🧈🧈🧈 RU-vid has also started encoding for foreground too, sacrificing skies and shadows bigtime.
@@POVwithRC Btw, liking the channel and the direction you're heading. I'm actually a FX30 user which is what brought me to your videos. I've cycled through an A7Siii, A7c and now to a FX30. I'm looking for a second cam and i'm eyeballing the A7c again. 80% of my videos were done on the A7c and since I still have some FF glass left i'm thinking about picking up one again. What are you thoughts on it in 2023?
That's superb! I enjoy making stuff and it seems like there is a niche for injecting some gear demonstration. If it has helped you or entertained you, plan has succeeded. So to your question, I think you could do a lot worse than another A7C as a B-cam for sure! That said though, we do know that Sony will be releasing the A7C Mk 2 soon enough, and there may also be a cheap entry level FF ZV Style body coming too. So your choice is to either buy an A7C on discount/used or wait a bit for a new release 10-bit FF cam. What glass do you have left? Also, are you comfortable mixing 8 bit and 10 bit footage?
Can confirm that the 30 is dual. I do not have the splits on hand for the others, but believe SLOG3 is 800/2500. It's a great sensor and camera. I generally just leave stabilization in active and use gimbal. Haven't found a post process that works well for my style of movement unfortunately.
