In the last segment we made some much needed upgrades to the drivetrain on this 1993 FXR - in this part we pick up where we left off and get our transmission and primary buttoned up in addition to bolting up some fresh parts just back from powder coating.

Thank you for putting this series together, it is going to be a great resource for people. When all is said and done, can you do a recap and talk about total time and cash invested? I've got a 1990 FXRS that I'd like to bring closer to modern standards, but I'm on the fence about spending the money on it vs getting a 2018+ FXLRS.

Great build , I have 1989 fxrs I’ve torn down to the frame, it’s being powder coated now so can u tell me where u picked up the struts with the turn signals , it sounded like u said Allied Art I couldn’t find it on the web , can u help me where I can find those struts really nice. Thanks Brad

Bit late to the party, but what kind of paint did you use on the rest of the engine? In the first video there where some scuff marks and now its all nice. I have an FXRT (without all the plastic crap) and im really enjoying this series. Hopefully gaining some confidence to do some mods you are doing on this bike.

I am currently having my local shop fix up a 91 FXRS for me. I'm doing some very similar things to what you've done. I got the same Fender strut from alloy art. @tcbftw. Is that a Leviathan cross tattoo? Gary Holt from slayer and Exodus has the same tattoo on his neck.
