About Fynboskloof:
Situated on the cliffs of Nardouwsberg, some 260 km from Cape Town, lies Fynboskloof Nature Camp.
Positioned on a cliff, it offers spectacular views of the valley below overlooking the farming community of Trawal. All campsites have their own water (although we always advise to bring your own), however, don’t offer any electrical points, which in our opinion is perfect! There is cellphone reception as well as neat ablutions, offering a flushing toilet and shower. Swimming points are limited; however, you can cool off in a small rock pool, perfect to enjoy with a beverage!
If you would like to dip your toe into wild camping to see if it’s for you, Fynboskloof is the perfect mix of raw nature mixed with basic neat facilities should you require it. In other words, It’s a comfortable way of seeing, if wild camping is for you and your family!
In our opinion, Fynboskloof Nature Camp is the perfect stopover to break up a long overlanding trip, specifically if you are going to or coming back from the Cederberg or the Tankwa Karoo national park. Our recommended stay is between 2-3 nights.
You do not need a 4x4 to reach this campsite, although we do recommend that you make use of a vehicle with good ground clearance.
