The reason I bought the Fz-25 was the torque! 😁 20 Nm @ 6,000 rpm(full torque comes at a early stage compared to others) + The bike weighs only 148kgs (not dry, with fluids) This combination knocks not only the Duke 200 but also the 250(which has more weight) in terms of acceleration. And folks,You won't be top speeding anywhere on Indian road conditions. Just my thoughts! 🙂
Umm...thats for city only...i have fz16 and it's tremendous for city. But as soon as you hit highway your bike will run out of breath very easily..i wish fz25 had a tall 6th gear.
Gaurab Ghosh Give this bike a 6th gear and ABS.....and it'll be a perfect second bike (primary bike being a 1000cc for pleasure rides) for daily needs and occasional highway rides with a decent touring speed of around 110kmph without stressing out the engine.
+Tharun J Prasad top spped doesnt matter at all..even on the Highway ..the road conditions We have here in india ..cruising at these speeds are good.enough
How do you compare the Apache 200 rtr vs Yamaha Fz25. From many reviews it mentions that Apache 200 is excellent for City driving and performs well for Highway ride also. Apache also has Oil cooled engine vs Air cooled of Fz25. But seing this review i am little confused as fz25 has excellent torque and good bike for city driving. Which bike Engines are more Reliable in long term if maintained equally well ? Generally many Scooters and bike Engines wear off after 60-70k kms.
I also have this bike. And I agree with ur technicalities. But, the speed does not go above 125km/hr whereas in other bikes of Honda or Bajaj it goes till 140km/hr easily. Sometimes we do need speed on 6 lanes or expressways. And also the bike does face problem because of crosswind at high speed. It can't be denied.
i have bought my fz25 on 23 april 1600km since then runed and i have done a perfect breakin period but facing some issues 1-it produces tick tick noise after engine heating 2-my bike goes only to 124km/h done 1600km it doesnt goes 1 km more than that 3-rear tire is tight in moving and rear brake pad produces noise but pads are good
Hey bro.... 1. How's the FZ 25 to ride with a pillion...will both be comfortable.....even during long drives 2. Does it runs @ higher rpms when cruising around 90 kmph with a pillion (if so what's the ideal cruising speed with the pillion) 3. What's the top speed with the pillion?......
2 years 20k on odometer, my bike is running smooth. And yes the same airoli highway I enjoyed for daily commute for about an year😊 Have you made any changes to the seat? It's kinda too hard for long rides.
Lovely that Airoli Highway is Amazing.. Miss that route to office... No i haven't made any changes to the foam but I have changed the seat cover.. You can find the video in my channel
I have a question ....do ur bike has tappet noise ??if yes then is it harmful for engine ??and how to reduce it ...when I ride my fz25 ...after 10km there is a coin rattling noise started in engine
Personal question sir.....Apache RTR 200 Vs pulsar 220F Vs fz25 .....which is going to be better for me...mostly I would be in the city, but once or twice in a month with my friends I like to go out for long tours for 200-300 Kms.... I like the RTR's modernity, pulsar's look and fz25's engine....I prefer performance over looks, which bike would be best for me.... PLEASE REPLY.
A Very well explained and practical review brother. I always consider thw torque as a major factor in any I.C engine. and the grunt that machine was making I could feel the pull here man! which gear were u in when u said u didn't change the gear?
+yaman wadhwa if u are upgrading from R15 V2 u would find a difference..but the acceleration in a faired and a naked bike is different U can't compare the 2 ..but u will.enjoy
Bro.. I owned fz25. Drives 6k kms till now. I getting extra noise even if I crossed 6000rpm. I asked in yamaha service center. They are telling that is common. But noise is quite horrible. I'm getting fear evry time while I'm driving. Give me some suggestions. I'm getting noise directly from engine. 😢
Hey bro it has just been 2 weeks since I bought the fz25 my bike heats up at a city ride of just 10-15 minutes. I can feel the heat up to my legs sometimes and the engine also smells burnt most of the times. Have you faced anything similar before first servicing? Also I faced a decrease in pickup is it just my feeling or might there be any serious issue? Really confused
+Bibek Bajracharya the heatng issues are normal in a new bike..u need not worry about that at all.. The smell is of the new engine ..which is also normal...during running there is a lot of heat generated in the engine. As it is new...pick up may be due to a bad clutch setting keep the clutch stock setting as the company provides..don't use half clutch method..also complete the run in in 1000 km and the service the bike..all ur issues.will.go.out
Thank you so much for the info I hope all these issues will vanish after the first service. What is the essentials of the first service like replacements and all that? I have heard some very bad reviews about the service stations near me. Also I feel the handle bars slightly tilted leftwards does it exist in yours aswell?
+Bibek Bajracharya handle bar is fine bro...but where are u staying ?? Mumbai.. Parts to change are engine oil and oil filter that is the main change ..
I agree with Ralph. It's normal. It's the paint that burns. It happened to me in my Apache RTR 160 and I was worried like crazy. 4 years later my bike's engine is still strong, no issues so far!!
+Nishant Kumar it's normal for new bikes to heat and that is the engine smell tahts is very normal..don't worry.. if ur pick up is reduced check ur clutch setting...and ur chain setting
Hii,Ralph serrao,i am planning to buy this bike in this week or next week, please suggest that should i buy this or not and wheather The coin rattling sound happens or not.please suggest asap. Thanks alot for the good reviews.
Hey bro, the review was really awesome. I just bought this bike but the pickup at 1st and 2nd gear seems to be less powerful. Also when I try to slow down on speed breakers in 2nd gear, and then try to pickup, it starts vibrating. Is it normal or will go away after first service?
ii really love this bike.. just went today for the testride, it was amazing, fz25 is amazing.. very light weight, easy turnings. full power, perfect balaance, good throttle response.. im just concerned about the avg. idont ride above 70KMPH ..so will it give me the avg of 43
This is off topic.. My Gixxer has a better bottom end than the FZs.. Both FZS n FZ25.. The Gixxer can also cruise effortlessly between 80-110 with minimum vibes n good stability..
pravin murthy I have ridden the FZ25 multiple times and own a gixxer. The gixxer is nowhere close in low end torque. FZ25 pulls like a train. Gixxer can't do more than 90kmph continuosly all day. It's sweet spot is between 80-90kmph.
Ralph vlogs iam pranay and iam also using the Fz25 same colour u have but the gears are too hard while down shifting in the city trafic and the led light is not visible at the night so iam planing to install Aux led fog lights on my bike so my question is that if i install lights will it effect on my warranty?
+Pranay Saha hi bro... Firstly that priblem will go after first service.. Also just lower down the gear lever position .. Also the head light is awesome in city.. Us agreed it tends to get dispersed in the highway but I don't rate it bad.. Is decent.. But get the head light adjusted from the left hand side on the bike..
Ralph Vlogs I agree with ur words but in the heavy rains and at night time also the visibility of the led light is not enough for me to ride bcoz the roads are very bad so i was thinking to install Aux lights on my leg guard wat about my warrenty ?
+Pranay Saha im.installing aux lights soon on my fz25..wait for that video bro..white leds anyways make.non sense in rain ever..even my philips diamond vision on my Ninja is useless
Hi sir I am having a plan to buy a new bike in new year. That is my first bike. So some peoples are telling me to buy a 150cc bike because that is my first bike and for safety. They are telling me to buy (suzuki gixxer) but I like fz250 so much . you can tell me sir if I buy fz250 there will be any problems come to me 😱
+abijith kk ..i suggested u get the fz25.. Coz it doesn't have scary Power.. But u will be able to judge easily on this bike.. The bike doesn't scare you.. But it helps U understand things. In a relaxed way. M not in a scary way.. go for the fz25
guys i have one too.but regarding mileage it sucks.even having a litre petrol the indicator blinks and we cant acclerate it jerks like d tank is empty.
Ralph Serrao Powerdrift and I few reviewers mentioned that the bike vibrates at arnd 7k werelse u saying it is smooth....So confusing.. Does it comfortably cruise all the day long between speed of 90 to 110 and wat rpm does the vibration kicks in
+haston lobo vibes will creep up bro but they are not disturbing to the Rider..te true vibes creep up after that where the bike is at its peak..8k 9k is really boby...but ya its understood as the bike is reaching its peak...this is my opinion in my day to day riding
Yamaha have done 3 mistake making fz 25 no 6 gear no gear indicator no abs having 250cc but r15 v3 have 6 gera without abs it's Yamaha mistake and confused more cc less gear
I have FZ16 153cc my ex girlfriend says 1 year back ap bike chala rahe ho ya udha rahe ho..I said to her its my normal driving... i was going 75kmph cruising speed on an empty road at that time which is normal for fz16 without any vibrations...I guess she never had a chance to ride with these bikes her dad owns a splender lol.
I have some tips for your bike....I own FZ16 from September 2014 and clocked 29k kms..I live in new delhi...I have just spend on fuel, air filters, spark plugs, eng oil, chainsets, and lubs....Fz s engine is very very relaible just use a good eng oil like motul...My first tip that you change your keychain to a soft material and shorten it...In 2 or 3 month your existing keychain will tear your handler paint if you not replace it....second tip is find a good nitrogen filling station. It will drastically increase your tires life.Mine tires still looks almost new i shall change it on 40k kms....Third tip you may experience electronical manfuntion in the future like engine starter relay, battery related wiring etc but dont worry spair parts are very cheap after you free services and warranty you shall find a good mechanic and a yamaha genuine parts dealer which will even give you discounts donot just ask him for bill..so you both save some money 😌 fourth tips is you should buy an extra clutch wire mine was broken at 20k kms but fortunately i has an spair one at home..it will show some sign before breaking but its cheap..Fifth tip buy some lubs like chain spray, brake oil etc you can save tons of money did you know service center guys charge you 300rs to lube your chain you can buy a whole bottle for 300rs and do it your self..
