Gülsün Karamustafa exhibits her painting "Window" (1980) and the sculptural installation "The Monument and the Child" (2010), consisting of ten pedestals with fanciful ceramic objects, which explore the visual language of modern Turkey and its national monuments. Together with a small selection of works from the MoCA Skopje, which all came from a private donation, they are presented in an imaginary family room.
The overall installation is called "The Crime Scene": using a method from old crime movies for the design of the floor, the artist traced the artworks with tape. In this way, she outlines the complexity of their past while establishing a connection between them in the present.
