Għar ir-Riħ and Għar in-Nagħaġ. The correct names?
The two caves are situated on the southern side of Malta, near Birzebbuga and Bengħajsa.
Għar ir-Riħ, which is the biggest cave we will be visiting is a wonderful cave with an opening onto the cliffs facing the sea. Reaching the cave is an easy short trek along the seacliffs. You have to have to search a large rock as this is obstructing the entrance and you might missed it. Entering the cave is easy as well but you have to take great care especially when it rain as there are a lot of mud and it will become slippery. The rock formations are amazing and views are breathtaking.
Għar in-Nagħaġ is a much smaller cave opposite Għar ir-Riħ and can be reached easily. A small opening on the right side of this cave will lead you to a small area which you can explore.
One problem I have is if the names mentioned are the correct ones as many mention different names for these and other caves in the vicinities.
