G-Darius (PS1) All Bosses (No Damage, Hard). It is a video game, released by Taito in 1997 for PlayStation. It is the fourth installment of the Darius series and the first in the series to feature three-dimensional polygonal graphics.
Boss list: 00:07 Boss 01 Eclipse Eye 01:48 Boss 02 Tripod Sardine 03:53 Boss 03 Queen Fossil 06:36 Boss 04 Dual Horn 09:18 Boss 05 Dimension Diver 11:52 Boss 06 Absolute Defender 14:52 Boss 07 Fire Fossil 19:49 Boss 08 Death Wings 21:59 Boss 09 Eight Feet Umbrella 23:45 Boss 10 Eternal Triangle 27:10 Boss 11 Lightning Coronatus 30:43 Boss 12 Heavy Arms Shell 34:28 Boss 13 The Embryon 39:59 Boss 14 Accordion Hazard 43:38 Boss 15 Great Thing
The graphics are quite impressive for PS1 ngl. I guess it's partly due to a great art style. Also great gameplay! I suck at shmups but this is impressive stuff.
Just a couple days from now this game is gonna be rereleased in HD on Switch. I’m excited to relive my childhood all over again in my very first bullethell style game
watching my dad play this and hearing that theme gives me the chills as a 5 year old kid, now I realized how amazing the sounds used in this game. Big props to the creators and sound engineers of all games.
Definitely a difficult series and always thought it was interesting using sea creatures as a theme. Also for a no damage run either the hit box is super super forgiving or you are using some modified version because you clipped plenty of bullets and vice versa.
This video seems to be missing the alternate versions of the bosses which you fight if you take the other route in their stages, but man. I have fond memories of playing this on emulator. Really cool game!
I'm just gonna say it right away. The Embryon is by far the coolest design of any boss in the entire Darius Series. As far as I can recall, it's the only boss in the history of the franchise that is being created as you go through the stage - speaking of the stage, what an absolutely gorgeous stage! I'll admit that it's probably the easiest boss out of all of the final ones, but screwing up in certain areas can cause you to get chain hit. The hardest one is either Accordion Hazard or G.T (Great Thing), and I'm leaning mostly towards the latter.
I played this game as a kid, I didn't know if maniac was suposed to be the easiest or the hardest difficulty, fun times Also back then I used the blue laser to absorb the FIsh boss's lasers, and kill it in 1 big ridiculous laser, it was awesome
Err, your wish is granted with the announcement of the Darius Cozmic Revelation collection which contains the HD version of this game and Dariusburst Another Chronicle EX+. Just wait for this winter. If you want proof, look it up on Google.
The series of these Darius games should be called "Sea of Space Fishes" All the bosses are fish and the sea is the stars. It's rare to see a non-marine boss, but I've seen it.🐠🐟🐳🐋🐙🐚
I used to play this game when i was 10 to 13. Now I'm a grown ass man of 34 and i find this nostalgic yet very amusing. The music is also good by the way.
I love how they always have returning bosses. The Fossil Fishes, the Coronatus Seahorses, the Heavy Armed Turtles, and of course that beautiful sperm whale “Great Thing”. It sucks that there’s no Alloy Lantern in this one. Because that massive robotic angler fish was as thrilling as Great Thing plus I love how unique each one is. Eclipse Eye with that fancy entrance. Tripod Sardine being a walker. Dimension Diver a shark that goes through portals. Death Wings a manta ray that fights vertical or horizontal to try and throw you off. Eight Foot Umbrella, an octopus that has weapons all over its body. Eternal Triangle a swordfish which is a combination of three ships. The Embryon a shapeshifting sea angel. And Accordion Hazard a badass unrelenting anomalocaris
I just want to say- I'm happy little gems like this are still receiving appreciation. To the point where they're still getting playthroughs or boss rushes decades from their original release.
Oh my God that game brings me so much Nostalgia a very good childhood and I still remember all the bosses😍😍😍 Thank you for reminding me of a forgotten game. 😃
I don't understand why you didn't use the Alpha Beam the whole play through. Granted you beat the game on a 1cc, but really? No beam battle at all. I don't buy that you didn't know about it. Too decent at the game not to have...
If you see the Accordion Hazard closely, you might be thinking it's based on a Cambrian Period creature called the "Anomalocaris" or nicknamed: the Giant Shrimp or Pineapple Shrimp
@@Takato2527 Try watching a run where the Alpha Beam is ACTUALLY used and not this lame shit where he just spams rapid fire for the entire game. Then you'll see why. This dude is trying to play as a show off with crap weapons and no beam usage. It totally bypasses a very critical and amazing gameplay mechanic that is just simply not shown here at all!
One of the best shoot 'em ups on PS1, along with Einhänder, R-Type Delta, Darius Gaiden and Gradius Gaiden (and, maybe, X-Multiply and Thunder Force V).
I remember playing this and the rest of the series titles and always trying to guess what water-related creature the bosses are based on. Was puzzled a bit on the Embryon and only found out years later that it was based on a creature called an ice angel.
If there’s anything Darius had over its peers, it was the bosses. Most shmup bosses are things like big monster or bigger battleship, with just patterns separating them from being reskins. The darius bosses being all sorts of fish using different body parts to fire projectiles really helps them stand out.
When i first played this game when i was like what younger or something, this game was my favorite thing to play ever since i heard my tio and my dad playing out in the living room
Studio: "We wanna publish another game about giant robots, but different from the tons we already made. What haven't we done yet?" Developer: "Fish." Studio: "GREENLIT!"
When I was a kid I hate this game the first time we bought it because I really like vertical shoot em ups like strikers 1945. But after playing this game for a long time, it changed my perspective and I really like this game a lot especially because it has that kamehameha stuff that gets bigger when you counter laser from the bosses.
Seems slower... Might just be me but is this on normal or easy mode? Also why no Kamehameha beams?? Edit: theres no way this is on hard. You cant shoot tripod sardine's energy ball away that easily. Edit2: My bad. Was thinking about mania mode...
Insane run, this game is so hard, specially for the game animations, sometimes gives me headaches caused by the blings and that colorful bullets and transitions.
Very impressive as always, but I have to wonder, when you finish a no hit/miss/damage boss compilation, do you feel a sense of relief or accomplishment? Is it just a 'finally, it's done!' Or a 'hellllll yeah' and a spike of the controller?
