This is a real human being that’s probably stronger than 95%of people who wanted to right a wrong and dealt with the consequences of his actions!! Salute King🙏🏿👑
Nawl that's incorrect statement without a doubt. That was threw ALLAH 👳🏾♀️ giving him nightmares of his wrong & he couldn't take it anymore of his murdering another human been and it scared him of death.Remember he murdered him in 1993.That's why he actually went to the police officer and admitted his crime in 2010✔️
"Do you regret turning yourself in?" G-Dep's answer could have been, "Yes." Instead, he says everything in prison AFFIRMED that he'd made the right decision, even reconnecting with folks he was estranged from. This stands among the rare prison redemption stories. I swear you could write a book about every sentence this man speaks. Really brother, G-Dep I am rooting for you!
I was listening to it the other day and whoever Diddy had cooking up instrumentals was ass and whoever Diddy had around listening to those wanna be west coast sounding beats that sounded like a 15 year old made them and saying “yea this sounds good” was ass too. But with all that being said he really had some bars and stand out tracks on that album. He had so much potential.
That is one of the bravest men i ever seen to turn himself in and he appeared to be free but on the inside....he was already locked up. Gotta give it up a true heart.
I’m hearing the voice of a man who is clearly is not a killer. Circumstances and conditions lead him to where he’s at! Taking full accountability for his actions is priceless! Big ups to G dep and may peace be with the family of the deceased!
Dude, you have no idea. He sounds like a man that has a clear mind of his mistakes. I'm not going to say all that. Cuz he could very well be a killer, just reformed.
Yes he's a killer but not by nature, he did something stupid and it got out of hand and it haunted his soul for a long time..trust me most killers don't give the person they killed a second thought..GDep was on bad boy he was writing for diddy he had the opportunity that most inner city guys dream about back then and he gave it all away to get his soul right..in this world all u can be is true too yourself.
That's a huge get from Art. G Dep was in prison for 13 years, but that will enable him to live a much better life going forward because of it. He has a clear mind.
I can just go sit in a quiet room and get a clear mind. I don’t have to do 13 for that.. sounds like you’re struggling with drugs, like G dep? Just go to rehab before you go to prison, like G dep
Hopefully it will let his soul be in a better place for a eternity... thats what matters mane... where your soul will dwell based on how you lived life...
I love the fact that this interviewer gives his guests a chance to share their stories instead of putting words into their mouth. His questions are on point.
♥️🖤💙THIS AS A BLACK MAN STANDING UP AND TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS ACTIONS AND GIVING THAT MAN'S FAMILY SOME FORM OF A PEACE MAKES ME FEEL LIKE NO MATTER HOW BIG OF A STEP OR HOW SMALL OF A STEP WE ARE MOVING FORWARD♥️🖤💙
his family said the guy was piece of shit and G dep should've turned himself in, if the guy was black G Dep probably wouldn't even felt guilty or turned himself in
this was the dumbest thing a black person could do, give the white man 13 years of your life, for what? they dont go to jail for murdr, ask emmit till smh
@@bigstone1293 ♥️🖤💙 MY WIFE WAS MURDERED IN 2016 AND NO ONE TO THIS DAY HAS BEEN HELD ACCOUNTABLE / TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THE FAMILY THEY WILL NEVER HAVE PEACE OR BE AT PEACE MY POINT IS HAD HE NOT STOOD UP AND DID THE RIGHT THING THAT FAMILY WOULD BE JUST AS I AM LIVING IN A PERSONAL HELL OF NOT KNOWING WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO YOUR LOVE ONE /AND NOW IT'S UP TO THEM TO REALIZE THAT GOD IS THE JUDGE OF G-DEP / NOT ME , NOT YOU , NOT THE COURT OR THE ART OF DIALOG AS A PEOPLE WE NEED TO HEAL AND COME FORWARD WITH ALL OUR WRONG ACTIONS PAST AND PRESENT♥️🖤💙
@@bigstone1293Surat Al-An’am 6:43 Blaming others for our misfortune is merely a way to avoid personal responsibility and is Satan’s tool for obscuring the true solution. Rather, Allah will only improve our situation when we turn inward, critically examine ourselves, and purify our hearts and communities from spiritual diseases. Allah said: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ Verily, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. Surat Ar-Ra’d 13:11 There is much to lament for the situation of Muslims in many parts of the world, but blaming external factors is a dangerous distraction. Focusing too much on worldly causes while ignoring spiritual causes will prevent us from seeing the truth. The only way we can lift ourselves out of hardship is to lower ourselves before Allah, to repent to Him with humility and sincerity, to acknowledge our sins, and to improve our inward and outward moral behavior. Success comes from Allah, and Allah knows best.
Big facts my bro, the amount of respect I have for him is on a different level. I remember bumping child of the ghetto like yesterday, He went in on that track.
I remember seeing the documentary about him turning himself in and the case itself. The police even said this case would've gone unsolved because of so little info they had. The man who lost his life, his own family, was in complete shock that G Dep turned himself in. They had almost come to terms with their loved ones' loss of life would never be resolved. G Deps' true upbringing and faith is a testament to what accountability truly is! I hope and pray for nothing but peace and blessings for his future. The gentleman that lost his life, forgive me for not knowing your name, but may your soul rest in eternal peace.
Just want to salute you for letting Dep talk. It seemed somewhat difficult for him to articulate or perhaps it's just a complex thing to speak on, but you really let that man have the floor respectfully and I was glad to hear his responses to your questions.
G Deep doesn’t realize how much he is helping people being this transparent. Every actions has a result. You do good, good comes back. You do bad, bad will come back. A lot of people are numbing and running from their demons. You are either going to pay for your deeds in the front end or the back end. Some people do wrong and try to ignore and run from it but it haunts them. With age and maturity everything starts to settle in and some folks cannot sleep at night. Even with his success he couldn’t run from it. I have another level of respect for bro owning up and paying his debt to society. I pray he’s in a better place and GOD continues to guide his path. Hope he has found mental peace. 🙏🏾
Ironically turning himself IN...(looking inward) and taking accountability is probably one of the reasons he is alive today. Shout out to Dep... continue the spiritual development.
Thats really advanced spiritual movement.. Clearing his conscience. God Bless the family of the life that was taken. Regardless of the penalty.. Wow 🙏🏾
Thanks for doing this interview. I was in 5th grade when I first heard Dep and was a young adult when he turned himself in. Now being in my 30s seeing him come home and seem clear headed and positive, I'm happy for him and hope the next chapters of his life are blessed. Salute to the Deputy!!
@@danieldtj12 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. I hope this was accommodating for you. Have a great evening. @Driphtah It could be that Art is reaching out to them and Vlad is not and Art is more connected to the culture. And they should support a brotha over Vlad.
I remember talking about this in the shop years ago.Nobody understood why he turned himself in,but now I understand. He's free now,he did his time and now he can really move on.He's a free man now literally.
He said he confessed to restore balance in his life.. it was weighing heavy on his heart and mind on what he did and if he k*lled the man or not. That’s deep. Salute to him for doing what he felt was right.
1 of the most slept on Hip Hip artist & lyricist ever. G Dep is 1 of them 1s....Hope he gets back in the lab. It's time!!!! Glad U back my brutha. Family first..but we definitely lookin forward to some music from you. Take ya time.
My little sister 12 and she bought her own skirt, rather do Kirk than do her homework, yell blunts and boys and she'll jump for joy, shits twisted, opportunity knocked but I missed it, out in the park getting lifted
@@yo3rdtier128while he might not be the top notch to you but he has flow and painted a mean picture with that everyday track. Actually the album wasn't that bad as I recall. Happy he's home
Welcome Home G Dep. Even Moses as much as he was beloved by God,made the mistake of taking a man's life. God redeemed him, and made him a personal vessel to give us the 10 commandments to live by. Let that sink in.
I remember reading G-Dep's story years ago around the time he turned himself in. I honestly can't say I would have done the same thing, but there's a lesson there. Though I don't condone what he did, I'm still inspired by this man's courage and character. He sacrificed time with his children in order to exorcise his demons. Big-up dude! I hope and trust you can sleep at night now that you were held to account for your actions. I hope you are well, Sir.
His song “Head over Wheels” from that New York Reality Check 101 album was one of my favourite back in the day Seems like an incredibly solid man, what a story. Much Respect
I hope you, take your time on this guy. Remember he been in jail. He’s coming back to a world, he’s unrecognized with.. Which can automatically cause PTSD .. Don’t force nun, allow him to express himself
Art has done it again...this is what this platform should continue to be for the culture. The first to go to for artists...etc...facts or undeniable facts?
"can't buy trees with government cheese I rather be where it's breeze n***** bubblin keys//my mom's got 2 jobs one on her knees" Luv that song still play it to this day!! #GDEP #HARLEM 🔥🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💯💯💯
Didn't know he was out happy to hear this. I never forgot G Dep. Stayed close to his story. Happy it's all over now. He's seeing the world different 13 years things change in a New York minute!
@@veemontana718 I can respect that and I mean it. You right. I don't care or do I want forgive or be happy for those who killed my cousin in cold blood in the streets of Santa Barbara.
G-Dep had some good music and a good rapper. The guilt and drugs got the best of him years ago. Seems like a changed man salute to him for being a man by owning up to his mistakes 🙏.
G-Dep is from my hood- even though he did this heinous crime.. he still turned himself in- G-Dep has the characteristics of a Noble man. I wish him nothing but the Best! (Random thought) - I wish ppl that truly speak about THE LORD, can get some air time like this 😊..just saying 😊
This is what I been waiting on an interview from G-Dep cause Diddy did him and loon so dirty! And I respect G-dep for turning himself in for that murder he committed, take a real man to take accountability 💯
Explain what Diddy did to him and Loon. Cause Loon’s misfortunes were tied to his own actions and as the stand up man that he is, he’s held himself accountable.
@@EtienneakaBagswell for one puff one known for taking his artists songs for himself that I need a girl record and another I can’t remember the name at the moment was loons puff was good for that
You can tell Dep has always, and will be a righteous brotha.. he suffered and was self destructive from taking another man's life and knew he deserved to be punished by turning himself in.. how that he paid his debt, I'm sure sooooo much has been lifted from his chest
G dep, please don't go giving DJ VLAD none of your time, he don't deserve to interview you. Leave your psst behind you brother and move forward with your blessings. You have done the rite thing, payed your time to society your a free man that doesn't need to relive your past. Your present life is the gift of life ...
Yoooooo Art got the first one! That's a big look. Congratulations on besting the other outlets due to how you are framing your artists. These are comfortable interviews
I could remember reading about him turning himself and I was like wtf you doin bro. But also reading how he would have nightmares about it and how he didn’t have peace. Then I understood. Still listen to that Child of the Ghetto album. So underrated.
BRO FUCK ALL OF THAT , IF I SMOKE SOMEONE I AINT HANDING MYSELF IN. ILL GO REPENT IN MY OWN WAY. HES BLESSED HE GOT 13 YEARS HE COULD HAVE GOT LIFEEEEE
If Yall Never been in the situation he Went thru then don't Say What Yous Would've Done. Every Person has a "Conscious" and if you've done something that u regret doin ur Conscious will Eat u Up about that. And it Gets No better until u "Deal w it", Real Talk. Much Respects Dep✊🏾
