Melvin Gaines had to roll with it like a pro. Said that before in a different vid, but, once he felt that the show would survive a while, and really take off, then he can give his input. That’s just me seeing things. IDK if that was really the case, but it’s logical. Gotta make sure the show would do well and get off the ground, and have good rapport with the people, then see about putting your 2 cents in.
These initial hourlong episodes are neat to see with the pre-1976 music only. Interesting - camera shots and over eager price displays (WOW!). There must have been a lot of people out for Christmas.

I know TPIR went to an hour on Monday, November the 3rd, 1975, so the last half-hour episode of TPIR was aired on Friday, October the 31st, 1975 on CBS.
I guess they didn't apply the rule to where if the wheel doesn't make it all the way around, it will not count. Because if that was the case, Rose should've been awarded the $1,000 (her first official spin) and her and Carmela should've had a spin-off.

I wish there was a channel called CBS Classic or some such and would air all the old game show. Of course, many of the master tapes were either destroyed or deteriorated.
Well actually Les Moonves was the cause for not allowing longer reruns but now that he is out, perhaps maybe the light of day will be seen on this version (they still have a lot of hurdles to jump through). At least the Cullen version is airing for special occasions on Buzzr.
