G-idle have the best singers in 4th gen and Soyeon is the best rapper in K-pop right now. Thier songs are unique, they can compose, they are surely going to be huge in future.

The last few songs they made were definetly like that "female empowerment" vibes but other than that i think they don't have a certain concept like latata was somehow the closest song to a summer song so this song is new but "uh oh" or "hann" were also different concepts. I feel like they are just doing what they want and i really love that
I commented this in other videos but I'll do it again. Summer in this song is a representation of Soyeon's youth and passion for music. For example she explained that in the bridge (when summer cools off play me the song of hot summer) she meant: when I grow older and my passion starts to cool off play me this song to remind me of my youth and passion. Btw she broke some of the lyrics in a vlive ;) Personally, when I first listenned to DUMDi DUMDi, I was like: this is what I needed to enjoy summer this year. Even though I loved the song, I didn't expect it to do well on charts, but to my surprise it did so well and it has 6 wins so far.
I see myself laying by the pool drinking my cocktail and enjoying the summer heat while listening to this song :p another perfect summer song after dynamite gotta add it to my summer song list
