I just listened to a bit of it in TikTok and am listening in full together with you guys, and it's soo good!!! I love it, i love this punk rock concept and the lyrics are amazing too!! Definitely will add it to my playlist, and also the riff feels so familiar maybe Nirvana idk but it's really good

Actually previous comeback of (G)I-DLE was before Soojin's hiatus, it was with "Hwaa" in January 2021, it's a comeback after one year and two month With a year that was certainly very difficult for our girls I'm so proud they came back with a strong song and even album, hope they will be rewarded for it !

Long story short abt why soojin is no longer in the group was bc someone accused her of bullying them in school. Even though she came out to publicly to deny it cube still removed her from the group and just announced a week or so ago that her contract was terminated. The court ruling on the situation stated that the one accusing soojin was not guilty since there isn’t enough evidence to prove that it did or didn’t happen and it’s been years.

(G)-Idle are one of the gg that I really look up to. Their concept and songs are soooooo good and amazing. (Well I hope to see more reaction to them) I think this year is the battle of comebacks but so far, this is the best comeback I must say. I'm just so into the song. I think everyone here can relate to that❤

it was inpsired by AC/DC after they lost one of their member a similar situation as IDLE been in. and they take on feminist look which is refreshing ..

the lyrics "i'm ****** tomboy" fits Yuqi well with her deep tone..

Song, voices, concepts, visuals, mv, artistic design, etc etc. Always perfect, always fresh and always on point. This girls deserves all! The real queens on this industry !

I love how rock slowly but surely keeps creeping into Kpop. Until recently, it was only Dreamcatcher carrying the rock flag in Kpop, now a lot of other groups are dipping into it and I am enjoying it so much! I absolutely loved Tomboy and the entire album continues the rock narrative without it being repetitive or uninteresting. Kudos to Soyeon, Minnie and Yuqi for writing and producing an amazing album!

Its a full album comeback, and you should definitely check it out!!! ITS AMAZINGGGGG! (You shd also listen to their previous album, I BURN, also another masterpiece!!)

soojin got involved in scandal bullying she herself denied it and said she did not do it. The person who published the post about her continued to blame Soojin and in there was another actress who started posting things about past bullying and everyone referred it to soojin, the police were involved and the case lasted for a long time. Eventually soojin took a break from the band until everything calmed down, some time after that Cube Entertainment announced that she had decided to leave the band (although everyone knows Cube kicked her out of the band because Cube are shit and did it in the past with Hyuna and Dawn) even though the case was not closed and she was not blamed for anything, She was still signed with the company until a week ago when Cube announced that the contract was over and she was leaving Cube. Cube did not help her in anything she wrote down all the statements and denied it all, it makes sense she would want to leave Cube but everyone knows how much she loved being in g Idle. I'm proud of them for coming back strong after what happened, we will continue to support them as five but g Idle will always be six. It's interesting that you mentioned AC/DC because the whole album is inspired by them! Even the album name I NEVER DIE is inspired by the AC/DC song, BACK IN BLACK which is a tribute to their singer who died one year before it's release. (the lyrics of the song goes: forget the hearse cause I NEVER DIE) I don't know how much you know about Gidle and their member Soojin's departure from the group last year but AC/DC was in the same situation as Gidle back then. The song "Back in Black" is about moving on and finding your own strengths to continue. I remember reading a comment under their teaser that said "This is their back in black" Soyeon is literally a genius for this concept and this song!

The riff reminds me of Billie Eilish's song Bad Guy tbh, except that in Bad Guy the riff is both faster + it goes down rather than up as compared to the riff here, coupled with like the humming that sounds like the beginning of bad guy when billie hums or something. or maybe i'm wrong LOL who knows xD
