Heard this live at the Red Rocks. First time I heard G Jones and it was a blast. S/o to Curra, Luke Vibert, Eprom, Amon Tobin, DMZ as well. Their sets were fire too!!!!!!!!!
Dancing On the Edge is probably the best song I have heard in the 2 years. I have loved watching Greg's sound evolve over the years and he's been taking it in the exact direction I have been hoping for. Can't wait for Saturday and Sunday!

@@Gnurklesquimp2 this might be oversharing but dancing on the edge felt a little bit like it was made just for me lol. one of the things that helped me not want to unalive myself anymore a few years ago was putting on music and dancing, almost like in a manic state among other things, but that was the main thing - needless to say i cried during this song haha. we still here
When I heard the first track, I got chills all over my body. My eyes were closed. I could sense a deep remembering, a familiarity of the sound, like a lullaby from a time before this existence. Immediately I felt a sense of comfort and hope, as if that other world, my other family, were reminding me through the frequencies that they still live on, and that I am loved.

So far, this is album of the year for me. Every track transition is impeccable (rare to hear in electronic albums imo) and when it doesn't have a transition, the pauses are intentional. None of the upbeat tracks felt lazily derivative at all, and the mellow+stripped back tracks are so engaging despite being a break from the heaters. Absolutely impeccable work, fucking love this album.
Electronic is not my top genre (go ahead and inform me of a more accurate genre title) but G Jones tracks hit different. This is gorgeous, fun, and evocative art. Come back to Montreal someday!

I feel like G Jones is forging ahead with new unheard sounds and techniques than no one in the world right now is anywhere near. It's a privilege to know about him and listen to a genius at work. I would love to see a bit of a breakdown of what's going on in the daw or the workflow and thought process. It's producer pRoN and to never see behind the curtain is killing me. I'd be happy with never knowing, i just want more, anyone know of articles, interviews etc?
