Hey, I haven't done/studied magic since elementary, but I'm slowly bein intrigued again. I'm now polishing up levitations. I think the evolution is dope af... I felt that comment.
Lloyd...lloyd...lloyd you are one very smart cookie, shaper 3D, 3D printing aswell as having the imagination to create these effects. I take my hat off to you sir, outstanding 👏
@LloydB I love magic, but my life keeps me so busy that it's hard to find time to practice. I've been wanting to build the tic tac gimmick, but I just saw you sell one already made on your site. I'm totally gonna buy it later today. Are there any other recommendations for tricks that are good for guys like me that don't get as much time as they'd like to practice or to build their own amazing gimmicks like yours?
As always: great creation - great thinking! Got so thrilled that I immediately bought one ( and your lecture - my wife’s gonna kill my😂)! Thanks for your work and all your videos👍😇😎
Bro! How strong is your weed? These methods are madness! That last one is so impractically impressive that I just quit my job and took up tap dancing with a violin. Love this shit!
For everything asking for the Card Back link, i think you have to contact some "custom design PVC transparent card" seller and use a bicycle card back design
Hi Lloyd, just a quick question; do you by any chance have a link as to where you purchased the transparent bicycle cards from? Or could you perhaps point me in the right direction to purchase some myself? Thank you!!
You buy lenticular foil. You print out a card with alternating strips of red and blue backs, or faces. The pitch needs to comply with the pitch of the lenticular lens foil. Glue it together. Some lenticular films have adhesive on the back. There's also special software to create such printouts for lenticular lenses.
I think i remember there was something that david blaine marcus eddie released a product that looked like a 3d printed deck same dimensions and the effect was to vanish deck leaving 1 card it just reminded me the white pieces
Guess the £10 I just spent on the file is useless to me without being able to find the transparent rider back. Reminds me of the time I tried to make the half vanished dollar bill and couldn’t because the print files didn’t work on a home printer. Or the money I spent on the paint and supplies for the illusion of the key being seen through a card when you put a flame under it. Glad to support Lloyd but this is probably the last time I’ll spend money on something I see on the channel and just stick to getting his tricks that are mass produced
Hey Chris, Thanks for leaving your feedback. I just tried to send you this email to the same address your purchased from but it says it can’t be delivered. This is what it said: “Hey Chris, I hope you’re keeping well? First of all, thank you for supporting me by picking up the 3D file. I also just saw your comment on RU-vid and feel awful that you’ve had a bad experience with me. I’d love to make it right for you. Whether that’s by refunding your purchase or sending out one of the clear cards? Please let me know if that would go a small way towards helping fixing things. All the best, Lloyd” If you could reply to me at hello@lloyd.tv I’d really appreciate it. 🫶
@@LloydB Wow. First off let me thank you for such a quick reply and your generous offer to send that card to me. I will gladly pay for it and the shipping it costs to send it to me. I will send an email but I also wanted to publicly thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to help. Please accept my heartfelt apology if I came off as rude in my comment. I let my frustration get the better of me because I just wanted to be able to pull off the illusion that you spent time to develop. You’re also a big reason why I even bought a 3D printer in the first place after seeing your poll on Patreon a few months ago. Thanks for all that you do for the magic community!
I paused and my guess is the 1st one....okay unpaused...I was right. But the 3rd one looks better to tell you the truth. Because it feels real, not only does it look real it feels real too. I could only imagine this in person now.
Goddamn, this WOULD actually work (and a deck switch device can sure make it even more realistic), holy shit. Limited to color by design (so no Ace of Spades to 7 of Hearts or whatever), but man, perfect visual doable in real life achieved.
Thank you so much dude! Yeah I've been using this lately and it's really passing the vibe check using misdirection to palm in and then hand out a real card. Gives me enough time to put the gimmick away then. 🙏
Hi, I was downloading your maxim app, but it asks me for an activation code, where can I find it? Thanks (on the app it tells me that the licenses are finished)
a video of 7:49 minutes...people should know the real time you spent making this video it's a huge job which can be counted in days i think (sorry for the mistakes I'm French). Thank you for your sharing and your time🙏.
I wonder if a counterweight could be used in the last example so you didn't have to use any fingers (which is how I believe some r****g c**d devices work).
Very good gimmicks I got that card that changes with the lighting too I can see why it’s put into the drawer 👍 interesting colour change > I wonder what new ideas in the future with colour changing card will happen > maybe magnets 🧲 with colour sand 🔴🔵 ⏳ < inspiration
Maybe I'm just an old dog too far removed from modern magic, but is this gimmick used for film and TV and not street magic? Cause I wouldn't feel confident trying this trick up close with that deck. If it is for the screen, I think it kinda defeats the purpose because while that color correction didn't look great, it can look great. There are plenty of youtube illusionists that do the trick well with special effects. I love practical effects, but just like the 2nd deck, it's not good for close up magic. Audience members will recognize lenticular cards because they have a distinct texture that isn't like a playing card, and even a slight nod would give the trick away. You have to close dirty with both decks, and they can't handle the cards. It's like the trick is made for the screen, and if it is there is no point in keeping it practical, it just needs better special effects. I do think inks would probably be the best because your audience can at least handle the cards. I don't have nearly as much experience as you do, but it just seems more practical.
