It's such a shame GOOD Music never lived up to its true potential. No label would have ever touched them. I thought every posse cut was gonna sound like this. This track sounds like the result of having the whole crew at the studio and having everybody vibing on it.
I honestly think they we're all too big in their own respect to all fit in one lane. I'm sure Cudi didn't wanna hmmmmm his way through an album, Big Sean already had such great potential of a solo career, Push was probably the best collaborator, and obviously Kanye is a communist in the studio. The best part about G.O.O.D. Music Group was that it was able to wrap a bow and put a title on the greatest artists from my generation
I still get chills every time I listen to this song. Brings me right back to Freshman year of college, so full of hope. Makes me happy every time. Kid Cudi makes this song.
not sure if anyone cares but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my brother for the last few months :)
Good Friday , April 7 2023. Jamming this song. Nostalgia. Uplifting music for real. Endless bars , smooth hooks , Dj going going crazy in the back with the mix. Mescudi, Push , Sean , Ye , Common , Uncle Charlie. Thanks for this.
I got into creating music when I was younger because of Ye. 'Creating' is the key word here, he completely separated the difference between being an artist vs singer. Since I started I was obsessed with signing to G.O.O.D music manifesting it every single day. I knew how to produce but forced myself to learn engineering just to get in and be around studios, then spent 6 years crafting my sound. This year when the pandemic hit, I said I'm ready to go so planned my first release. Long story short I managed to sign a partnership deal on releases with the former president of Kanye's G.O.O.D Music (and produced all the monster records from projects like Yeezus, Dr Dre/Eminem PRIME YEARS, Lauryn Hill, Jay Z, The Weeknd etc). Who the fuck knew I'd be here. PLEASE never disregard your dreams as too ambitious if you know the passion exists in you. I'm only at the start of my career and I ran myself into the ground getting here but I couldn't ask for a better benchmark start position.
@4:00 that outro by cudi always makes me tear up... Reminiscing about my youth, scouring the internet for new music and mixtapes... Remembering when this dropped... kanye was late btw lol sometimes we was getting these songs like 2 days late but this will always be one of my favorites. Thank you.
Late to the party obv. but shit they toured together back in 2013 which was dope before many people was on Logic. Crowd was seating with this mixed dude crushing it
I was in my second year of high school when these were being released - in NZ they were released on a Saturday night and I would download it onto my iPod Touch and walk to school on a Monday jamming to this, me and my friends absolutely loved G.O.O.D Fridays. Looking back on this period of my life I get such a special vibe, nothing will compare to these tracks!
I remember first listening to this back in the day when my brother was driving himself and I to high school in the morning, it was his last year and it was my first :) so many g.o.o.d memories
EXACTLY THE SAME AS ME! I was freshman he was senior and he played this song and many others, I didn't like rap until he did that, and I love this song, he played em all driving to and from school
Devout Tim Duncan Fan Account Lls!! The hardcore fans go by the albums, but Cudi did change the rap game tho...I'm not jumping on nobody's side. I fux with em boh...Let's see how it turns out.
I remember before I graduated with a bachelor's degree of general studies emphasis in english in 2012, and my iPod worked I played this song EVERY Friday, it made me feel good on every Friday and energized me to make it through my day of courses, so I love this SONG!!!
Kanye the misunderstood greatest artist of the 21st century ever in the world. He’s light years ahead in time. The only one bold enough to speak the truth, unlike some celebrities. Always giving us a masterpiece Albums 🔥. You made me fall in love with music and America 🇺🇸 (808 & heartbreak had a big impact on my life especially Welcome to heartbreak with Kid Cudi). As a black man, I’ll support my country more than ever, defend its constitutions and Christian values. Am done being a mental slave to racism and opioids. Yes our great grandfathers have suffered, but we should not make that as an excuse for our failures now. It’s time to learn educate and create a career for us, our family and our country under God. God bless you Kanye, forever I am indebted to you. And you’ll remain the greatest artist ever. I love You Kanye and Kid Cudi. Please stay strong to these biased media. We know your heart, we know the truth we are all observing how pathetic media has become. Please don’t stop making music for people like us. Please I beg of You.
this was so awesome. getting new tracks every friday leading up to dark fantasy. must have been in 10th grade and this was all me and my friends talked about
Kanye could’ve easily turned this into another album. Everyone was always about to MBDTF and people forget about these 15 tracks he dropped leading up to the album
GOOD Fridays were a weekly free music giveaway by rapper Kanye West, launched in support of his fifth studio album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010). The intention was to release a free new song every Friday for a few months to promote his album, and the weekly tracks generally featured various rappers from his label, GOOD Music, and other artists he usually collaborated with. - Wikipedia
