Really helpful & a great guide to success for anyone looking to obtain their G. My only question is that this was posted two weeks ago, and I had thought they got rid of having to do all the extra things that you normally do on your G2? Such as 3-point turn & parallel parking?

From January 10, 2022 to March 31, 2022, tthree-point U-turn, Parallel parking and emergency parking are temporarily not implemented in the G and G2 test.After March 31, 2022, whether the implementation needs to wait for another notification.

Update as of May 24 2022* Goverment is still extending the modified drivers test, 3-point and emerge braking not required

I just took my g test on July 11th. and we went straight to the highway…. Did a lane change on the way to the highway only. I had to do a lane change on both sides of the highway as well. It was pretty easy, I passed. They’re basically just testing your ability to observe and drive in a safe manner.

for the highway, was it needed to go all the way the the left lane and then back to the right? can you just merge and stay in that right lane?

If you are taking a road test, you must obey the examiner's command and drive into the lane he requires. Under normal highway driving conditions, the left lane is used for overtaking, and the right lane is used for normal driving.

Is it a “must” to do a right on red turn?

If you need to make a right turn, you can do it at a red signal light, it's not “must” . The premise is that there is no right-turn prohibition sign at the intersection.
