You're gonna have to put some wings on the sides of the plow to push the snow away from the sides of the track so it won't fall back on the track and so the train won't rub on the snow pilled on the sides. Or you could build a spreader/flanger gondola too. That would be awesome. Snow plow videos are always neat rather it be full size or scale trains doing the plowing. Stay well. 👍
A Rotary thats what I was thinking as well maybe a Wider & taller Plow And to help with the Muscle maybe a few more Engines but what I seen was totally Awesome and having the Plow coated with something helps to slide off the ❄ snow.. Thank you for posting this is something Good to watch for a changed as I listen to the freezing 🥶 come down in our Town..
Correct solution WD40 original design was made for .The Apollo Rockets bodies and key points were sprayed with wd40 so that the thermo frost would drop off the outer bodies during take off to elevate weight and structure integrity. So to summarise you are 100% using the correct solution for the snow plough 👍 In my opinion. Great video thanks for sharing
Gotta add more power, get yourself another two engines, that's thick snow! May also wish to add weight to each loco under the hood, it'll give greater traction under the wheels.
Thanks for posting! I want to do the exact same thing with the trains my dad left me. That plow price is fairly steep on eBay when they go up for sale. I see it works pretty well though. I have to get one for next winter.
I think it would work better if the plow was tilted only about 22 degrees and went out a little further to the sides (all this for next year or christmas)
That's cool. I wonder if the engine would do has good without the plow. That snow might be easier to move without the plow. We never used any plows out of tucumcari nm in the 80s. & that snow was 5ft deep in the drifts
