Hello guys!
Here I got a video on Review and Demo on my new tool G-scan 2!
I got my one from Hickleys. They are a great company that provides a massive range of diagnostic tools.

HELLO alex.. i know i need/want a gscan 2 to program keys for my moms and sons cars but would you know if its any good with the mustangs... we got a 2016 and 2019

I want a scan tool to check torsion values and L/min as I have changed the cambelt and water pump on my mk5 Golf 2.0tdi BKD, as the car is really lacking low down torque and mpg loss after that cambelt change. All the timing pins slide In and out perfectly but it doesn’t drive like it use to. I was going to get an eBay vcds cable and vcds lite but I can’t find a hex-can or other cable compatible for my model. Any recommendations? Also since adjusting my cams and checking them with a friends scan tool my tensioner is way higher on the arrow than what it was when I first put the new cambelt on, is this because I didn’t use a cam pulley holder, when adjusting the cam timing? Hello mate. Thank you everything is going well. All I need now is time to do more to be honest. Want to turn it in to my full time hobby. What manual have you followed to do cam belt replacement? Also have you got genuine kit? Best diagnostic tool for vag group is vcds, but not eBay one. You need proper vcds tool that Hickleys sell actually, which is on my list to buy. That will do pretty much everything for you on your car.

@@AlexTheGrumpyOne I bought the OEM VW cambelt kit and water pump from TPS. And my locking tool kit is I think a rebranded Sealey kit.

@@MrZimmaframe yeah so that should be all fine as long as you adjusted tensioner right and those 3 bolts on camshaft pulleys had free gap on them before doing them up.

@@AlexTheGrumpyOne I have already taken it apart and redone the pulley tension but then adjusted my cams, so looks like I will have to do it again, and make sure that is not the reason it goes extra tight. It stress me out knowing it's too tight.

I wouldn't know to be honest because i never used ms908. I know Gscan2 does a lot!

Yes mate. Will be doing them as well. Will try and get as many different tools on board as I can. That should be happening soon. May I know what price range are you talking about just to have an idea and that will help me with my next choice as well.

It depends really, things I would want from a device would include reading and removing codes, live data for stuff like torsion values and L/min, boost reading. Stuff like that. I am not sure what price a device would be to do that. I think £100 is enough for a home user that doesn't need code adaptation stuff and more advanced features. So around £100 or less.
