Thank you! A very good review. It is a pure runners tracker, so no watch for me. BTW you are the first, who mentioned the poor battery. Thank you again and I am looking forward to your next video - greetings from Europe 🙂
Yes, it drains pretty fast with HR on but it hasn't completely died on me either. It's on my wrist now, showing LOW level but still keeps going. I'm trying to make it completely go blank, if possible. Lets see. Thanks for watching!
Very nice video and obvious a super watch. By the way there's not only 4 colors, there are in fact 6, you're missing the 7A9ER & 1A4ER, which is a beauty and the one I've bought. It is also the most difficult to find. Thanks for the video
Fine looking watch. Solar powered, 200 meter water resistance and a compass. The silicon charging port cover is a nice feature but looks like it will come off and get lost easily. Wristband adapters are also available. They are affordable and help make the G Shock style watches more comfortable and stylish. 🎽👍✌
Great review! Thank you so much! When you press “run” do you literally have to run or can I use it for long distance walking? I literally walk every day. Also, can I only check my HR at specific times? I just want to do it when I need to.
I use it for walking and it works really well, I like it better Tran a Fitbit, I have the gps and heart rate functions set to fire up when you hit the run button. Used in this manner you never have to charge it. I haven’t charged mine in 6 months
How long life log data stored in it? Is it one day or 1 week? For example if not sync with mobile everyday it fail to registet life log data in app. If its 1 week then only need to sync once in a week.
5:19 WRONG! 😋👍 Sapphire breaks easier than mineral. Sapphire is more scratch resistant but more fragile. Mineral is a better option. Do you want a crack in your display or a scratch? My mineral glass on my g-shock is still brand new and I wear it in the gym 6 times per week. G-shock made a good choice. 👍
The beauty of gshock is that it's a watch for years. Unlike Samsung or Apple watches, which are outdated after a few months, gshock has a good app (Google move) that 'still' works perfectly. The Connected app, for other bluetooth G's, is also updated frequently. It mostly adds support for new watches, but keeps working in its core. Highly recommend these watches, but if you're looking for mainly a workout watch, maybe also look into other brands.
@@Gsyoku I know it is a Li-ion battery but I was wondering if it is similar to other smart watches that become obsolete in 2-3 years when the battery dies. Given the high price, it would be great if it is possible for the customer to replace the battery. Hope you show a teardown for this watch soon!
I have seen discussion pages on similar issues too. But I have this on my Fenix and had none of the issues so far. Usually I dry the watch if it gets wet in rain, drenched in sweat or after swimming. Thanks for the heads-up :)
@@Gsyoku You have a Fenix too? How do you feel the Casio compares? I bought a Tactix Charlie 5 days ago but am due to take delivery of the GBD today for comparison. I love the design but cannot see how it could possibly compare to the Tactix which was only $138 extra but for a LOT more function liek maps and advanced customisation.
@@Gsyoku i know that. But that’s not a smart. Gshock need to improve this watch. As you said in video. For indoor workouts person like me. I can only see step and HR only.
I dont like this neither the rangeman or new protek line. Besides are expensive and must be tough to connect and set for sure. I keep getting my 3 favs: DW 6900, Mudman 9000 and the Rangeman 9400.
Gsyoku So, it’s not a Garmin alternative yet. As i see between min 4-5, HR sensor is not able to detect that you’re not wearing it and it keeps lighting.
with the gbd-200 right now. I believe Casio should just release a separate (heart sensor) accessory with its own battery that can be attached to them. this way the watch can stay powered for 2 to 3 yrs. and only the heart sensor should be recharged. I really fucking hate how the trend of watch right now become fitness wearable in expense of battery life. it's a bullshit trend. and let's be honest 95% of these people who buy these product only use it for a while and then get tired of their goals and proceed to use their fitness wearable as daily time piece haha
They are still cheap. This is not their "basic" line, so it is much more expensive. You can't expect to have 5 sensor, solar charging, g shocks durability, bluetooth connectivity, +++ features in a watch for 20 dollars right?
