Hey man, I commented on this video last month telling you that I got this watch. Bro I love it and I just ordered the King G for 98 € which is a great deal in my opinion. They are the best g-shocks for me although I like many other models. I only wanted to thank you for making me like this watches.
Yeah the GD-100 is one of the newer G Shocks out... so it should be relatively easy to find. There's several different colors to choose from too... all of them are pretty sweet! Macy's stores definitely carry them, I just bought two more there... and several places online as well, although I never really buy watches online because I want to see them in person before I buy. Thank you. DST = Daylight Savings Time. When that is present in the display it simply means that you have the watch set in Daylight Savings Time mode, which is an hour ahead. When you turn it off is sets the watch back an hour.

Yeah I seen that one when I bought this one, I like it a lot too. I love the digital/analog G's. Might end up getting it too, but I like the one I got here a little better honestly... can't get over that bright ass backlight! i bought this G-shock last night,i live in singapore and it was on sale.and its a great watch. good for money and its pretty cool and a really good review by X4CTO. ive subscribed to the channel. useful for tips if i want to get another G-shock.
This is my seccond G-Shock, as a kid I've had DW-6630B-9, and nowdays I needed a simple, durable watch and my choice was something from Suunto or Timex, but when I've saw those stealth look G-Shocks with "white on black" display I've felt in love instantly. I even didn't knew for this model in video so choice was DW-6900-MS1, but while I was searching the e-bay I saw GD-100-1BER, and now I can warmly suggest it to everyone. It is simply great looking watch, durable, light and perfect on my, relativly small wrist!
I returned this watch because it was ridiculously difficult to read. Fortunately, there's another version of the GD-100 that has a much better display. It's the GD-100-1A. I love it.

Depends on which one you like the looks of more and what features you want, etc. Personally my favorite of the ones you mentioned is the GX series King G's... I have 5 of them for a reason, HAHA.
I love that flashing alarm too... very nice in the night. That auto light function is great... especially when squeezing on some ripe melons, haha! Always good to have a watch that supports that type of activity. Thank you brother!
Same here... I know they'd sell a lot of them if they did that because many people seem to love the new GD series... but of course, Japan seems to get all the solar/atomic models first. Sometimes when they finally make it over here to America they do so minus the atomic feature... the GX series King G's are a good example of that. All my GX Kings are solar only, except for my GXW-56E blue King G... it's solar and atomic, but it was a Japan only model and very hard to find here.
Glad to help bro! Yeah there's a decent selection here I would say, but not a lot of stores carry them... most of the best models are online. Same thing with the G Shocks... all the best ones are hard to find, and it seems like Japan gets all the coolest ones! I can recommend the 1300... I love mine, rides one the wrist very nice too. Dude..I got an older one,with wave recpetion and solar charge...LOVE this watch, never need to set it except for switiching for Daylight savings, remember the very time I swam with it, I was like..um er....WAIT A MINUTE 200 METERS..WOOT!! dove in and swam around loving the feeling of a serious dive watch on my wrist. I've never owned another watch other then a CASIO G-SHOCK, Retired my last one still working looking for a dressier, stainless one. great vid Seeya Dude

I don't have a real use for the tide data, I do like the little moon icon though... to see when the werewolves will be out you know, LMAO! Nice... a fellow local! =) You aren't too far from my sister then, she lives in the Bedford area. I live more on the west side of Fort Worth. I too, am a big fan of the "murdered out" G's! I love the inverted displays. By the way, have you seen the GW-7900B? Another sweet all black G! I have a review of it on my channel too. =) The 7900 has the moon and tide data as well, it's a rescue series G... should have been in the Masters of G collection though I think.
Great review man. I just picked up a GD100MS-1 which is my first G-Shock. I hadn't seen a negative display before and wasn't sure how easy it would be to read. But I really liked the orange background of the MS-1. I'm super impressed with this thing. It's big, which looks good on my size wrist, but super lightweight. I had forgot you did a review on this one till now. I think I might do a mini review on mine. It's nice to be able to find reviews of the specific model you're looking for.
Nice review, I got one of these bad boys now. I like the side buttons it, and it reall easy to slip through the time zones. a good watch, thanks for the tutorial like review, I learned alot. ill probably view your vid a couple more times, just to learn more on how to use it better. Thanks!
... and finally you have the Master of G collection... and these are pretty much the professional or specific function type watches. This collection has the best features for the outdoors type user, such as compasses... altimeters... barometers... temperatures... etc. depending on which model you get of course. Each of the Master of G watches has a mascot on the caseback too, depending on the intended function of the watch. The Mudman G's have a mole doing something on the back. =)
That would be real nice, I'd love to get some stuff from Casio... might have to look into that. My favorite analog/digital G Shock right now is the AWG-100, and it's solar and atomic as well. You can find them for just $100 if you look around. I highly recommend the AWG-100 or AWG-101, both great watches. I have a review and a comparison of a couple of ana-digi G shocks on my channel too.
Yes indeed... they pretty much cover all types of buyers... and then the people like myself who want them ALL! LOL! Yeah the Pathfinders are great too... I have a PAW1300T Pathfinder that I like when I chase storms in the spring. I did a video on that one too "My North Texas Weather Watch"... the Pathfinder is my weather watch! =) The new GDF-100 G Shock has similar features to the Pathfinders as well... but for considerably less money.

Yeah man I'm from Ft. Worth area also, my actual house back home is literally 3 miles away from the DFW airport. Going to college right now though in College Station. I actually like the GX56GB also, that was one of my choices I was deciding between before I decided which watch to get. Still on a "to get" list though, I like any/all G-shock that is mostly black. I just think the "murdered out" look looks badass!

I'm really hoping they make a solar/atomic model... or at least a solar one... it would probably be called the GDW-100 then. Funny, I was considering buying this exact watch not long ago, but I ended up going with the pathfinder even though I like the aesthetics of this one better... Hope all is well brother.
Well that sucks... we have 3 Macy's stores around me... one of them has no G Shocks whatsoever... one of them only has only a few... and the other one has everything. I guess it just really all depends on the Macy's.
The GW-5000 is very nice... I have the atomic/solar GW-5600 which I love... very similar to the GW-5000. I paid around $80 for my GW-5600... one of my cheapest G's and one of my favorites too.
I like all of the GD-100's and GA-100's too... awesome watches. The negative looks sweet, but I think the regular (non inverted) display will be easier to read in most lighting. They all have their pluses and minuses I guess... but they're all tough and accurate! =)
Anyway... yes I will definitely go check out your first video my friend... I always like support new channels. I'll leave you a comment on it and tell ya what I think too.
Well congratulations on getting yourself a great watch then...it's definitely one of my favorites, and I love the backlight on this thing... I hope Casio puts more LED lighting on their displays like this in the future... great contrast! It's just a very comfortable, stylish, useable, tough watch... what's not to love about it! =)
@X4CTO Yeah, I'm from Euless, which is basically neighbors with Bedford. I like the inverted displays as well, to me, it makes the watch nicer looking in my opinion. I have seen the GW-7900B, I like the look of it, I just have no use for the moon and tide data on it so I don't think I would get it just for that fact. I'm honestly new to G-shocks, no clue why I'm just now getting into them, so I really don't know what the difference in the collections are.
awesome review, im getting this watch on monday and i was going to go with the one that had the red face, but im sold on the military black that you have, i have the 6900 black with gold face and i love that invert or negative display so this one is not bad , sold on this black one for sure thanks for your review
Yeah that's a hard choice, I love my Pathfinder too... both great watches. I love the negative displays, I need to find a Pathfinder with an inverted display, that would be badass! All is well indeed, hope the same is true for you bro.
I'm not 100% sure on what the 1VER, 7VER, etc. signifies... maybe the versions indeed, makes sense to me. But I am pretty sure the Pathfinders and Protreks are the same line... it just depends on the market in which they will be sold... Pathfinder = North American marketed watches Pro Trek = The rest of the world I could be mistaken on that, but I think that's how it works. To be honest, I know much more about the G Shocks than I do the Pathfinders and such.
Very nice g-shock. The casio negative displays are getting very good. My son is getting a GD350-1B g-shock for basic training and its display looks like the same type as yours. He wants it stealth and likes the vibration alarm. Have you been thinking about trying one of those new Rangeman g-shocks?
@X4CTO Cheers man, I appreciate your knowledge. You lot in North America have a far superior selection of the Pathfinder/Protrek range, while I'm stuck with some dam poor selection it seems. Combined with the fact that you get to carry whatever the hell you like in public, that makes emigration even more appealing. Cheers again man, and I think the PAW1300 would make a good 21st. I think it's a great digital module... (3263)... but I am not crazy about white watches to be honest with you. They have one over at the Macy's I go to sometimes and the sales lady there keeps pointing it out to me asking if I want to buy it, LOL. I wear all my watches that I collect, so I would get the white one pretty dirty, especially since it's matte white and not the glossy type. I think it's a great watch, same as my other two GD series I have... but the white is not for me personally.
Well in my opinion it would be the GD100... I'm not honestly a big fan of the DW6900, I much prefer the GW6900's over then DW's... better, newer tech in them. The GD100 is considerably larger than the DW6900. It's part of their newer larger case line of watches they're doing lately.
@80spodcastchannel I figured out which model it is.. it's a SHOCK RESIST ATOMIC/SOLAR CASIO-GW600DA-1V...retail was 160.00. but, I got it off ebay and changed the band which was missing too many links for my big wrist to fit on, for under one hundred.. did I mention I love this watch?
What do you mean by size? Case diameter, band length? I will say that the GD100 is not much larger than the DW6900... but of the two, I personally prefer the GD100, it just looks better overall in my opinion. I'm not the biggest fan of the normal DW6900, I much prefer the GW6900 because of it's upgrades to be honest.
@theheatfan16 I forgot off the top of my head as to the exact way... but if I remember correctly this is done while you're in the alarm function mode... you hit one of the top buttons I believe to turn it on and off.
Alright man, longass question coming. Well not physically long, but likely highly tedious. What the hell is the actual difference between a load of the Casio Pathfinder/Protrek series? I'm looking at the PAW 1300 and the PRG 240, and they come with all these abbreviations after them and I am hard pressed to tell the difference between them, even with the Casio website up. Does the 1VER mean version 1, as in the predecessor to, let's say the 7VER? Or does it mean jack? Casio: the king of acronyms
Yeah the GB's (besides the G9300GB and GX56GB) are kind of blingy indeed... I called the GD100GB "Gaudy" in my review of it... but I gotta admit... I like it a good bit! All in all, the blacked out GD100 is still my favorite I think.

Aviation - these are premier analog pilot style watches, I love my GW-3500B Classic - these are basically standard G's... some analog, some digital, some both. Giez - these are higher end classier looking analog G's mostly Limited - these are limited editions that the release of popular styles... different ones yearly cont'd... one more time... lol...

They do that sometimes unfortunately. Yeah they do have plenty to choose from though indeed... I can appreciate something about them all too. I love my GW9000A Mudman... I recommend that one highly! Ahh, you're a fellow Texan huh? Well that's kickass my friend... I'm in the Fort Worth area myself. The GX-56 King G's and Mudman G's are both mud resistant... I'd recommend either for that!
