BASED ON THIS CLIP SPECIFICALLY Karr is louder. Carver is cleaner. Both bands can use a book upgrade. Hard to pick a clear winner but I will say that these are the top 2 bands I've seen ON VIDEO so far this parade season. Props to all of the kids in these two programs.

@@jailenwilliams7642 all the sections at Carver are a lot more full and clean vs. Karr who are blowing outside the instruments characteristic sound with little to no tone.

Carver director has really worked with them not all breathing at the same time and you can tell the tone is so clear no breaks.. love it good job both...
Carver definitely took this battle. Crispy clean sound. Karr wasn't bad!!! BT needs a lil work!!!, plus they bt sounded like this last week against St aug, and you would have think Karr directors would have corrected those mistake, but i guess they don't care smh. Anyway Karr still took the W against St aug, but Carver completely destroyed them here.
Anyone consider that concert formation EK is using? I'm no camera expert but I think they come out sounding less balanced on camera mics sometimes because of the placement of the sections. But by round 2 they switched formation. I think stretching our would have helped. They have outgrown the lineup style they use. Just a theory..
I been watching karr for years and they never know how to play together each section always out blowing the other unbalanced n all but carver came to play today and understood the assignment carver get the w in my opinion
Carver cleaner and realbalance which each song selection they played. But Karr band don't play together to many breakdowns in the song there not finishing their songs there band members hanging over at the end of every song there b.tone don't play together
Karr won but I agree with people saying Karr's BTones need to calm down it throws off the bands balance a bit. However as much as I don't like Carver they did their thing too good job to both bands.
@@ronsix3655 Nah, Karr has way more power and a better song book. If you hear Karr they have some nice songs on the parade route as well as certain parts where their sections come out and are really dominant in those verses. I didn't feel like I need to explain deeply why I thought Karr won but if you'd like to discuss more we can 😀
