15:12 Conclusion update: a more carburated feel WITHOUT the gas leaking out during unscheduled dismounts.

Just found your channel great stuff. I just got handed down a 2025 WR450F and I’m trying to find feedback on how difficult they are to ride on a more open trail nothing technical. I’m a beginner and hoping to restrict the bike to learn. I’m have rode bikes before but that was 20 years ago on 250’s trail riding. I’m a bit nervous but I’m also not a thrill seeker looking to do jumps, hill climbs etc.

@storytime7982 Welcome. It can be a handful if you're not cautious. Take your time, learn the bike, and keep it simple until you get comfortable. As you bond with it, you can experiment with more technical and exciting terrain.

@@Gamet36 thank you for the reply, I’ve had a number of negative comments from people about me me riding the 450 saying it’s too much bike, no good for trail riding especially for anyone who is not a pro rider etc etc. I can see the MX 450’s being too much bike but from what I was told by a Yamaha dealership mechanic and a Honda dealership mechanic the new WR450F is pretty tame with restrictions from factory like baffles and throttle stop etc. They also said I can run a more beginner friendly ECU map. Both dealerships said I will be fine and to take it easy as you said but it seems people who have never ridden a 24/25 WR450F are either not aware of how the arrive from factory or just don’t have a clue in general. There negative comments still leave me questioning whether I should or shouldn’t ride this bike though.

@storytime7982 Don't listen to them. You're the only one who can determine if it's too much bike. If it has the restrictions still in place, leave them there and ride it. It'll help while you get comfortable. When you feel ready, take them out but don't rush it. It is a lot of power so you'll have to work into it slowly.

@@Gamet36 will do 👍 I was originally looking to buy a 250 before being handed down a new WR450F. I’m 6’6 and a bit over 300lbs. I remember the TTR250 I had would struggle in sand and steep hills with my big frame on it.

Just ordered myself a g2 off off ebay, hopefully takes the initial hit out makes trail riding difficult.

What year WR is yours? I just picked up my 2024 WR450 a couple of days ago its uncorked and I added the Competition ECU so I can use my phone to program it. My bikes seem very cold blooded on start up. The throttle is very twitchy and hard to ride smooth and steady. I tried a couple of mild programs but don't seem to help. I may have to look into a throttle tamer to.

Mine is the 2022 model. I heard the comp ECU doesn't really help. Th G2 throttle tamer is a game changer. I recently learned about the white cold start knob. Be sure to push that in on the first start. It's like a choke but really just bumps the idle up.

Wow, imagine having enough power in a bike that your head pulls back when you gun it !! That sure ain't no 17 horses.

It helps if you actually know how to ride it rather than just buy a big engined bike and not being able to use it

@@nickg2431 I’m a bit confused about this comment. We have fun when we ride. We don’t go out looking to bad mouth and insult other people that we don’t know. 9 other commenter’s loved the video. Your comment is the only hate filled statement on the page. You seemed to imply you were an expert in riding large engine bikes. I went to your channel to see if I could pick up some tips from an expert. Imagine my surprise when I found out your channel has no content. Instead of trolling other riders and leaving somewhat insulting comments, why don’t you start posting some riding tips to share your knowledge? Once you have helped the rest of us to become as good of a rider as you, our videos may not upset you so badly.
