Great capture, Stephane! I was just listening to Crystal Planet and wondered who Z.Z. was. Searched for him and found your video. I knew you decades ago. Wow, strange world.
I wake up, saturday morning, snow all over the ground and on my screen and in my ears is this amazing word by Satriani's. Thank you. Perfect timing lol.
Lmao - no. Matteo has never even met ZZ. This is the most absurd thing I have read on the internet so far this year. Matteo started playing guitar with his father Vincenzo at the age of 10 and got onto a stage to play live, at 12. He went on studying classical guitar in high school in Palermo and later graduated in jazz guitar at the Palermo Conservatory of Music. He's born and raised in Italy. Matteo Mancuso is LEVELS above ZZ and would give any virtuoso guitarist on the planet a run for their money. That kid is a prodigy.
@@MetalMcflyYou have made some strong and convincing points Mcfly... but I also heard that ZZ was/is teaching Matteo. So I'm going with Alexis on this one. Remember... your never to old to learn something new. 😉
@@JohnEG I have to question whether you guys even know who ZZ and Matteo are. ZZ Satriani is a FILM director who plays rhythm guitar in his free time. Matteo Mancuso is a WORLD class jazz guitarist who only stepped foot on American soil twice in his life. Once in 2019 for the NAMM show in California (he was only there for 2 days) and again this past January 2024 in Florida to host a clinic for Steve Vai's academy. Again, he was only here a few days. He has NEVER met ZZ Satriani or Joe Satriani. He does however know Steve Vai. Pro Tip: The Internet is a very powerful tool for fact checking research. What you heard was a "rumor".
@@JohnEG I will leave you with this clip. If you think ZZ is giving this guy lessons then I don't know what else to tell you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--QY9J21a_s8.html
@@MetalMcfly Alright Mcfly... I guess it's time to let you in on the joke. I guess my smiley wink emoticon at he end of my last reply wasn't enough of a clue. It's my belief that @AlexisMorales's original post was made in humor. The humor = Since everyone knows that Joe Satriani gave guitar lessons to a young Steve Vai... The idea of ZZ Satriani giving lessons to Matteo Mancuso would be "funny". I do apologize if you fail to see the humor but I think it's pretty hysterical. 😎
