@Feyrom Take a piece of cardboard, roll it so it's a cylinder, then put it standing on a table, and try to crush it by pushing on top, it's gonna be hard considering the fact it's just cardboard. Then you can take that cylinder and punch it on the side or bend it, it's gonna be really easy since it's just cardboard. You can take thin material, and make it into a shape that will make it surprisingly strong in one way, but if you load it in ways not intended (ie punching it in the middle) the weakness of the material will show, but that doesn't take away the fact that it was strong in the way it's supposed to be loaded. But anyways, I'd like to see you punch that, it's definitely thicker than you think and you'd hurt yourself
@Feyrom "It's useless dude" One comment later "It supports the seats" Uh, weird I thought it was so weak it'd bend if you looked at it wrong, how can it support seats then ? It's almost as if it was indeed a strong piece. But no need to be an asshole I just nicely explain modern sheet metal design and how they make thin material into strong pieces by modifying the shape and you're coming at me as if I threatened your family. Really shows your experience taught you well. Being a mechanic doesn't mean you have any technical superiority when it comes to material strength and engineering, that's not your domain. And even if you were an engineer I don't give a single shit about your experience, the facts are there, easy to research and prove and you contradict it with no other argument than "trust me bro i know shit", so no matter who you are you're still wrong. Also everyone on the internet is a mechanic and seems to own 12 cars, besides it's not like owning and fixing that many cars means anything I've known a lot of hacks and they could also list a bunch of cars they've owned and say they've been doing it for 25 years, yet they still were fucking hacks, not saying you're one but stop using that as an argument because it's not. Edit: btw just searched G forums about that brace and weirdly enough people there seem to agree that it's useful, there's even multiple cases of the bolts of that brace getting loose which clearly indicates that it's a piece that's regularly under stress and vibrations... You really need to stop thinking thin material automatically means it's not structural, your frame rails are not much thicker than that to be honest, it's all in the shape.
Jasmin is awesome xD Such a unique and personal build that grew the channel so much. she was the car that brought me to the channel and made me subscribe, hope to see more of Jasmin in the future man
Put some windshield sprayers in front of the radiator so that it sprays on the radiator when the fans suck in air it’s cold air from the water that sprays on the radiator, guaranteed keeps the G way cooler
don’t touch the sensor by the shifter. it’s most likely the yaw rate sensor. if you unbolt it and move it in anyway the airbags will go off when the car gets started next
You could just cut the carpet in half and just have the front part of it am remove the rest it would look really clean. I love that he let the door cards in and the center console, retaining all the functionality and he can still listen to some bangers while on waiting line or when drifting :D
Take a shot every time Robbie says literally or when he is stoked about something! 🍻 Excellent content man! Consider converting those pounds to kilograms too in the future. Keep up the great work!
For some reason i love it so much when you guys give love to that shitbox 😂 keep up the good vids, always a good time when you see a robbie video poping up🔥
Yonoka is an amazing budget friendly company. I'm using their coilovers on my 2g Eclipse GST and they sent me a tshirt, two adjustment tools, license plate bracket, sticker, and a lanyard to boot!
Hey Robbie that part that is made in Germany if you look it says Bosch on it, they are a German company they make parts for many different cars they just have a plant in Germany that produces this part but they mostly produce inside of the us
Go find the final bout video about dab sedan, guy has a tube Fran front end with twin turbo slapped ontop the de that came in the car, wish I still had mine I just trade my sedan:(
Lmao I literally just gutted my 05 rev up sedan last weekend and thought the foam inserts were so weird! Insane how much that sound deadening actually works 😅 I can hear every piece of sand hit underneath now lol I love it tho
Until you guys get a new exhaust system I would definitely cut the other side of the exhaust out right behind the cat, I'm not one of those people that says that you need back pressure on your engine but I know that it's not a good idea to have different back pressure on 1 side than the other, it can cause damage.
That thing behind the shifter is a gyroscope so when the car feels like it’s sliding or gets tapped while drifting it will usually cut almost all power.
I really think that after building Jenny that you should give the same treatment to the g, since I really think that Chris deserves a solid car. A few mods like exhaust and just cleaning up the appearance can make this car a for sure favorite on the channel
Hey does anyone want to help me out, I have a g35 and it’s something thats bothering em, whenever I put it in drive it clunks into gear, if I have the car in drive without going it doesn’t make any noise, but as soon as I start going it sounds like a loud whirling sound, it has a tranny code but its something about the PCM
He needs to unplug that yaw sensor in the center console!!! It will fully disable your vdc so your car doesn’t cut power when drifting just make sure to unplug the battery
Just get some dry ice and hit the floor the sound isolation shit will come up easily and its heavy as fuck pulled it all out of my e46 and it took like 30/45 minutes
