Absolutely the nicest G6 I have ever seen. I own an '08 G6 GT sedan in almost the exact same color as yours and an '09 G8 GT in Maverick Silver Metallic. Love both cars. You have done an awesome job. That's something to be proud of. Man they should of never had to let Pontiac die!
I just recently got myself a Pontiac G6 GXP. Its blacked out. Tinted windows and taillights. straight piped, as well. I completely agree with your statement about the inner g6 door panel. I'm going to be removing mine, and doing a gxp bracket similar to yours.
Hadn't thought much about this car but there is one for sale in my area. This video came up in my search and I'm impressed with the amount of work and attention to detail you put into the car. Great vid.
Late to the party but just wanted to say this is such a clean looking car. Got an 09 GXP sedan and am finally starting to add to it after 7 years. First thing I added were the paddle shifters and am looking forward to a strut bar, the updated visors (mine rattle), the release-from-front rear seats. Great stuff! Edit: do you have the P/N for that automatic climate control unit? I have only ever found the non-auto upgraded ones
That’s a sweet car. I hope you still have it those are hard to come by mostly it’s just the basic g6 sedan. But gxp is the highest luxury Pontiac you could have along with maybe the Prix GXP. Awesome car ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks man! Going to run it till the wheels fall off. I'd say the G8 and Solstice GXP puts it to shame. Probably the most luxurious Pontiac they had as the Torrent GXP AWD fully opted. Kinda sad really. 😬

Damn man super nice love it , just got me a 07 g6 gt , 3.9v6 6 speed manual, catbacks , k&n cold air intake , leds done all around , except high beams which will be done soon, but love the looks of yours ,
Really nice. You've done just about everything I wanna do to my GT coupe. Black on black '09 with 54K miles. Just did a full LED convert. Got the same tails.. Can't figure out what to do with the wrecked sill plates though as mine is not a GXP. Would love to pick your brain lol
Yeah. No coupes at any local scrap yards or pick a part. No one makes reproductions either. I guess i'll have to find someone who can retool them. Not having much luck. lol Thanks man!
That's an idea I didn't think about. Finding a cheap, beat up high mileage parts car. Hopefully with decent interior parts to salvage. Coupes are getting so hard to find now and GM has discontinued all G6 coupe specific parts.

Hey man, I have a 2008 G6 GXP. What all needs swapped to change the center stack to the 2009.5 style? The minute I saw the stack I knew I needed it in my car. Also, your G6 is sick! Honestly I can't get over how nice it is. Thanks!
All you need is the 2009.5 radio and a HVAC. For the radio my buddy made a wire harness to join the radio to the stock harness. Speedo and wheel controls are easy just by adding 2 wires, one for the paddle shift and one for the enter button.
@@Berryfarmboy Alright cool. I assume that the new radio doesn't have the message center anymore so, the new steering wheel and cluster are required. Is that correct?

Hello, you have done an amazing job on your G6! I am looking to do the same upgrade on the front brakes. If you could please help me with info on the spacers, wheel studs and lug nuts. What spacer did you use? Is it hub centric? that size wheel studs and lug nuts did you use. Any problems with vibrations? I'm using stock 18" rims. Thank you.
Brembos came off a Cobalt SS Turbo. The spacers are H&R hub centric 15MM spacers. (Only need 5mm spacers to actually clear the factory wheels) The studs are Dorman 610-323 Ride quality is just as good as before the swap.
I also have an 09 gxp coupe. Your trans is under extended warranty until the end of the year because of faulty wave plates. I got my whole trans rebuilt for free. Hope your trans breaks :)
Hello. I have a 07 GT coupe with the 3.9l. I read that you swapped the intake from a 3.6l. Was it a direct bolt on or did you have to modify things to make it fit? So far I did the cluster swap, kn drop-in filter, aftermarket headlights and stereo. I know I'm late to the party but your GXP looks great.
This is a 3.6 car so engine wise nothing is transferrable to the 3.9. A guy used to make the Crab Intake but they haven't been made in nearly 10 years. K&N makes a bolt on CIA for the 3.5/3.9. it's a fun GM parts bin car to play with!
I just got myself an 07 g6 gt convertible and im already in the process of the cluster swap, ive done the 9.5 cluster already, bought the harness, just bavent bought the sw controls yet , my cluster came with the harness attached and cut off so i have extra pins for the pin move😂, whwre dis you get the leds for all the interior trim lights like the window buttons and the climate comtrol??? I am not too fond of the red, got annoyed with it in my last g6 and would love to have white instead, plus im blind so all the extra light helps😅
What kind of headlights and taillights do you have for your car and where did you get them from I’m looking to upgrade mine on my 2010 Pontiac G6 GT. And also did you go buy a straight pipe kit for your car or what did you do?
By buying a return to stock radio harness for a 2010 G6 and using a adapter for an aftermarket radio to the stock harness for a 2005-09 G6. Then splicing the two together and having a plug and play harness.
Your care looks great! I'm coming in to this 2 years late, but I'd love to get some info on the digital climate controls and the console lid. How complex is the climate control update? I know there's an extra harness for the sensors, what else? And how did you mod the console cover to fit? I've got a 9.5 base that I've been doing a lot of upgrades, Cobalt SS-T front and rear brakes, koni shocks and eibach springs.
I went with the anzo eagle eyes. They will all leak at some point. I tore them completely apart and put the painted bubbles inside with the blinkers. Work pretty good for a while but they eventually starts leaking. Ill have to pull them apart again and reaseal.

@@Berryfarmboy Thanks! I was wondering about the wheels and spacers, can I just get 18x8.5 and avoid the spacer? And I thought about just an 8.5 inch in the back...no idea if that's workable. Thanks for the advise, I'll check the VIN. He already admitted he had to do the timing chain in it so the trans might have issues and he's mis- diagnosed it...IDK ...all I know is I have the bug, Lol if this falls through I found another one the same grey as yours in Ohio though...thanks for responding. @@Berryfarmboy Thanks, I just returned with an ebony black 2008 from Michigan with 63K miles. I am struggling for words how much I love this car....it's a demon. It's so ironic and sad to me that Pontiac makes this machine and then closes the doors. I think I'm going to have to keep my eye out for another one and put one up for renovation and upgrades, and keep the miles low. And the other my daily driver. This is an automobile to worship...probably one of the very last, it's a crying shame. Thanks again for your uploads of this car so I'd know something special to find.

Berry, what would i need to do my headlights like that? I am a big fan of this style drl. I don't like the ones in the aftermarket headlights that are just little leds
It's easy! Just buy the CCFL eagle eye headlights on eBay or whatever. Then you can just use a heat gun to war up the adhesive around the headlight and start pulling it apart and make sure that you undo the clips and remove the weather strip first. You can find the DRL strips I bought on eBay. Listed below. Beautiful car man. For the paddle shifters,where those something you added to the wheel and if so do you have a link for them,or is that a different steering wheel in total. And I was reading the comments and seen you mention that you put a 3.6 throttle on the 3.9 gtp and I was wondering how?

I have a 2009 g6 gxp as well. Ur just gonna have to find the seats wherever. Most likely a junk yard. They are very rare. I have found them 3 times in 2 years and they were already sold by the time I was ready to buy. Paddle shifters are even more rare.
Thanks man! I'm assuming that your 07 is a GTP 3.6 or is it manual? There are hammer head spoiler available on eBay for a couple $100. Personally I'd get the low rise spoiler. Looks better on the GTP, IMO.
Pull the headlights apart and paint the bezels body color. Then add the LED DRL strips and wire them into the headlight harness. Throw them back together and add switch back blinkers. Done.
@@Berryfarmboy Okay finally getting to the wheels, I've had to do brake pads, rotors, struts, and shock absorbers, not to mention replacing my 3-5-R waveplate in my transmission a couple months ago, but anyways, I'll be looking up Hankook V12 tires, thanks!
@@Berryfarmboy I'm not sure, they are aftermarket but I'm not the one who bought em, but I do need to paint them and get new wheels, they are like 5 spoke, the car and rims are black. I really wish I had gotten my hands on a midnight blue gxp coupe that was for sale for awhile before I had enough money, but black is cool 😎. I might try carbon wrap for the hood.
My transmission stopped working correctly 800 miles after I bought it :( this is it's present state. It won't reverse or shift into 3rd correctly, also shifting hard. Not the fluid.
@@Berryfarmboy Do you know what exactly the transmission is? I have the 3.6 vvt engine, I'm trying to figure out where the transmission turbine speed sensor is, for code p0716. I can't figure it out on google.
They are eagle eye CCFL's off of eBay. Then my buddy helped me paint the inside body color and then I added the LED switch backs for the blinkers. Then I added the LED switch back strips.
Can find LED switchbacks on eBay for them. To add the switchback LED strips I opened the headlights and installed them between the lens and the body-color bezel. Sounds like a lot but it's super easy.
