200 miles in mine and it really is killing me as well lol, knowing it has that much power and potential and can’t touch that point just yet is KILLIN MEEE
The engine and transmission don’t need to “learn each other,” that makes absolutely no sense. You limit the RPMs and change the oil after the first 1,000 miles because you get metal shavings in the oil from the extremely tight tolerances the motor is built to loosening up. Also for the brakes, all you need to do is bed in the pads and you’re good…
I am trying to make appt for the break-in service for my M4 competition but all dealers in the Seattle-Tacoma area have NO differential fluid, we all have been waiting since august from Germany......so what to do?
Good video! Read your owners manual people, it's all in there. One correction though, the engine and transmission hours aren't necessarily to "learn each other" it's more so that both have moving parts in there that need to wear down the imperfections in them (seat rings, slowly wear off left over spurs, etc). Better to get everything worn in slowly and properly, drain all the oils to get rid of the contaminants, then hoon to your hearts content!
I was told for my X3M, its already limited in RPM which means there is no launch etc and all this will be unlocked once I come for my breakin service circa 1-1300Miles. So in the meantime drive how you want. I dont really understand your logic on this or who told you to do this.
Just got my CLA 45 and I realized that they don’t have a break in service for it. It’s after 10,000 miles!! No shot I’m paying outta pocket to get the oil changed
@@matthewowen5574 yea I got the prepaid maintenance it’s a 2022. The prepaid maintenance only covers the services once a year so basically every 10k miles
My service is basically free, as a Mercedes tech I use parts and leftover oil to do my own services :) B service cost 3.2 hours labor time, which will probably take 34-40 minutes for a average tech.
@@mayhem_amg it covers the length that you got it. So if you got 4 years maintenance, then your good for 4 years, at least that’s how it was with me. It wasn’t by miles.
@@matthewowen5574 yea but what I’m saying is that you get 1 service every year. Meaning if you wanted todo a break in service you would have to pay that out of pocket because that would add up to 5 services and I only paid for 4. I don’t like driving on the same oil and filter that was used to break in the car.
man, this is a great video. I just took delivery of my MY23 X3MC. I gunned it down my street yesterday (not foot to the floor) and when I went to brake for the stop sign I realized that the brakes felt extremely weak, I was actually nervous the car wasn't going to stop by the time that I reached the stop sign. Super glad I saw this review and hoping that it was normal, needless to say, im kind of scared to hit the gas...
"Have to"? No. But highly recommended if you want the best for your car. I'm at 2300mi., +X-Pipe, +RaceChip, + Open Flaps = Magnificent Piece of German engineering!
i dont which one to get an m3 or m4. I like the new display in the m3 I like better then m4 but the rear of the m4 i like better then m3. also how reliable is the m3 engine?
Interesting choice. No offense bro, but do you really think this car is a much better daily driver than your cla 45? Remember the video you made about ownership cost and how that car wasn’t a good daily driver? This is better? Just saying. I dumped my 45 I told you about for a 2023 Kia Sportage and that’s a much better daily driver for me personally. But best of luck to ya and I hope your maintenance costs aren’t out the wazoo.
@@mpower1106 did you not read my question? I’m asking yaboibakali if his choice is a better daily driver than what he had before? Given the cost of maintenance
Mercedes has been an epitome of issues as a daily. I think its been in the service department more times than I can remember. A lot of my friends with the same car agree. The 45 is not too bad of a daily but it seems to be very sensitive as it keeps breaking. Hoping the M4 doesnt fall down the same path.
