Anyone who has pushed these with full traction off will know it is under tired... Def needs more tire, but you handled it really well, try level 3 TC instead of full off...I'm pretty sure a 1:17 is the record for any stock-ish G8x around here... nice driving.
Tires seemed pretty well cooked when you got in it. I drove a G87 M2 at Spa 2 weeks ago for a track day and was really impressed with the chassis balance. Was on KW V4 coilovers and Cup2's which made a huge difference. The car itself is great, just need some suspension and tire mods for sure (usually I track a 991.2 GT3RS and a Radical SR3XX)
I mean this as a compliment with Speed Academy becoming Cruise Academy you're filling up the hole they left. keep all the track content coming! love the unbias objective/subjective assessment on the cars too!
This is what being a grown ass man child is all about! It’s a shame that the license plate wasn’t 02! Unfortunately the G87 seems like they just over boosted the steering compared to the F87, made it heavier and added a little more power… that’s a shame. I HATED that mid-corner understeer of my M2C. It was almost like driving an 8V AWD chassis car, on throttle to push a bit then abruptly left off just to rotate the ass end. I’m sure it’s fast as hell but I am not super hyped about the G87. I *kind of* miss my F87 but don’t miss the track experience. Other than that, that livery is everything and I love Zandervort Blue!
Geeeeeze Louise the delay of the transmission is terrible, nowhere near as quick to the DCT especially on downshifts !!! That to me is disappointing but great driving!
My time with a f87 with 275 square RS4 (similar to PS4S, I’d say), pads, fluids, coilovers, 160 pounds weight reduction was a 1:16.6 in competition… My PB as the car stands now is a 1:14.89 with 275 square CRS Hard to say… this is also just one track… when the Canadian tracks open up, I’ll be taking more cars to GP, SMP, and more.
@@DriversPaddock Looks like not a big gap on track, I just test driven a g87, I feel the chassis is a little bit well-balanced compared with the stock f87, but the driven dynamic is awful, the steering, the weight and 0 feedback.
@@vincentgao8839g87 has way more grip on both axels, much less understeer then stock f87 . Not to mention how much faster new M2 is on a straight line.
@@vincentgao8839 Could you please elaborate a bit more? I am looking to get the G87 but people who track keeps saying that it is too heavy and steering is somewhat underwhelming. On the other hand, they said it is a really good road car that you can go fast whenever you want. How true is that?
@@christmasisawesome9348 I have been driven my friend couple times, I agree with them, it’s easy to feel the weight of the car and steering has no feedback like play video game. It’s more like a rwd Audi or German mustang. But, if you don’t care driving experience, and want a car can daily and track. It’s a good combo, u can drive really comfortably in highway. In addition, the car is very capable for time attack, little modified can make the car have a really fast lap time.
