Bigger picture. Something like 1/3 of US treasuries mature this year, the interest on national debt is going to go up significantly. Fed has to monetize the debt to fund these budget deficits like always, but now it’s during economic contraction and already re-surging inflation. If fed is forced to go back to full blown QE (they will if more bank instability or major downturn in markets before election) this is going to get messy. On weak dollar commodity and asset prices are going to the moon. The size of interest payments on nat debt currently just highlights the urgency of the situation. It cannot be repaid. Default is inevitable.

Same amount of grip if the tires are controlled for. The only difference is the distribution of power. Instead of having 100% on two wheels, they’ll be split around 60/40 or so in AWD setups. AWD is actually only really faster on launch. In terms of racing, RWD is often faster. For a while AWD dominated the Time Attack Unlimited class, but now most of the fastest times are set with RWD cars. Then if we look at it from an engineering perspective, AWD creates extra weight and drivetrain losses, so hypothetically from a roll, the AWD equivalent of a RWD car, same engine and all, the RWD version will win. So AWD isn’t necessarily faster, nor does it provide more grip, rather it just distributes the power more evenly, making launches and corner exits a bit faster.

@@watersnortmoment3734 AWD is certainly more complex, expensive to develop… but the weight gains are negligible considering the amount of power track cars make. Modern AWD set ups are +80Kg at most which isn’t much. Absolute weight reduction only matters if you’re seeking fastest times for the 1/4 mile with purpose built drag car. Audi completely explored this concept with the eTron Lemans WEC cars. Toyota in their Lemans WEC cars also use something similar. These both worked very well, they were a few seconds faster per lap with AWD vs RWD. Also you fully explained why per axel torque vectoring is superior in grip, distribution of power is why tires stick to the road, this is why sports cars from the 70s slid all over the road with big meaty tires, to much power regardless of the amount of rubber touching the asphalt.

​@@kaplanamerica2 Not good, not bad. Doesn't really matter or affect the car in any negative way, it's just a waste of a little bit of fuel. But due to safety regulations it's illegal in most countries 🤷‍♂️

@@kaplanamerica2 I think it comes from back in the day EVAP systems not being very sealed and therefore a running car could start a fire by sparking the gas vapors. Can still happen with new cars but is very rare. Still, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Thank you. No sir, did look at ZL1 though…Lusted for S58 and the lil coupe drew me in. had to keep it euro. Right now I think the gen 2 B58 cars and non carbon pack m2 are good value. 2nd hand G80’s are filthy cheap for some reason right now, worth taking a look.
