I agree with your assessment... I last bought an android box about 4 years ago and over the past 3 years I have been regularly coming to your channel to see if there are any improvements... Relatively they haven't changed much
@@ChigzTech In the US there used to be laws against this. I now live in Georgia (country) and because I don't know the language, I don't have to hear it. 😂
Have you tried any of the Tanggula boxes yet (particularly the X5 series)? I've tried one, and they are decent overall, particularly when you add in their built-in app features.
I have the TV box X96 max plus three years ago with android 9 and it work perfectly, and I use the Microsoft launcher on my TV box! It also play RU-vid videos to 1440p 60hz great! The main problem is that the chipset is going too much warmer about 88 degrees Celsius, but I use a mini cooler under my TV box and the temperature going down to 60 degrees Celsius on the summer! My TV box X96 max plus will last me for over than 15 years without problem!
you should maybe check how those devices deal with large files. That's the issue a lot of the times with tvs. When you try to connect some larger storage device with a lot of data
Thanks for the review, I was always wondered how do you chose the device for making video at the first place? Is it the request from the brand and they send the product to you or you have some other elements for this , and what you do with all of this stuff after the review? Could you answer if is not a big secret for you, iam sure other people wondering as well
I WISH there were more well specced TV boxes that have JUST PLAIN Android (12 or 13) and NOT Android TV, as I want to install my own launcher (Nova)... Android TV is just so limited in what you can do especially with the hassles of side-loading.... 😒 😎🇬🇧
Please make a video on Xaomi Box S 2nd gen and compare it to Mi Box S with benchmark etc. Thanks a lot in advance ❤️ Love your videos. Only one place to get ideas before buying any TV boxes.
Nice video Chigz thanks , All my YT accounts is subscribed to your channel to make sure I have Chigz Tech Reviews whatever device I am using, and I saw some other boxes you also reviewed recently and some comments are questioning the Mali 450 GPU of some boxes, does this mean it is the cheaper way companies can release boxes with later Android OS compared to having Mali G31 or other gpu? Thanks again.
Much appreciated! Yes Mali 450 is more than 3 years old and they are introducing budget chipsets to make the box cheaper. But the compromise is bad streaming performance, especially UHD 4K streaming. 8K is not even possible with this box.
I think Rk3588 powered TV boxes should come to market more, NanoPi R6C with RK3588 has an Android 12 ATV ROM option, that looks interesting maybe you can test that out.
Yes the H96 MAX V58 also features the RK3588. The power and performance is impressive. That is a step in the right direction. Will checkout the NanoPi R6C soon. Many thanks.
Hmmm '8K'? Surely it should have HDMI 2.1...No? *Edited to input that this looks shite (struggles even on 1080p) £40 quid?? more like a tenner (if that) Good vid as usual Chigz (when are these Chinese Android boxes gonna step their game up?)
Nvidia is the king for a very long time, amazon fire devices are getting better every year as expected, but these third party boxes are getting worse every year. Hoping things will improve with some honest harsh reviews.
Hi Chigz love your "show" but must pick you up on something you said regarding this box.You said that this was not official android because it should read Android 13 and not Android tv os version 13. However on your review of the Mecool km2 plus android 11 It also reads Android tv os version 11 but you say it has the official version so maybe you you can clear this up how do you tell if a box has an official version?
Hi there. Just wondering is this play protected certified coz mine is not and its not letting me sign in Google accout or google play store. Any idea how to sign in?
5/10, poor performance, don't bother playing games, heats up, poor load up, poor home screen... Poor loading, slow, gimmick, firestick 4k max is smooth and fast.... Cheap and chearful box..

why u show products where u only can watch in sd quality ? yes its 30 € but u can get a chromcast for twice the price or even less ngl this makes no sense to me
I agree the rk3528 is old tech (arm a53 / Mali 450) I'm thinking arm a55 and g31 is adequate for the time being. Nothing new will happen before S928X boxes arrives and especially what the price is going to be compared to Rk3588(s) boxes?
