Tottenham have never won any trophies due to 1. not spending enough on players 2. not having the management. Tottenham 2023/24 with Ange involved is a lot different to all the years prior, even compared to 2016/17. They are building a much bigger squad then previous years.
Gabby Agbonlanhor look in the mirror! Gabriel Jesus has already scored twice the number of goals that you scored in your whole career. His goals to games ratio is significantly superior to yours bro
Nobody is talking about Nkunku and Marc Guiu at Chelsea. 2 very good goal scorers. With palmer and Jackson who scored over 35 premier league goals last season.
toney is the second best striker in the league and brentford have been screwed by his past because they will have to sell him for stupidly low money, this league is a joke
The issue with Toney at Spurs is that such a large percentage of his goals come from penalties. In his best season he scored 20 goals with 6 pens, 14 non-penalty, 4 assists in 3000 minutes. Richarlison this past season scored 11 goals with 4 assists in 1500 minutes and picked up 4/5 injuries in the process Ofc last year's Tottenham were better than Brentford in Toney,'s best year, but the gap between them isn't some obvious chasm. If you take 21/22 when Richarlison was Everton, Toney got 12 goals, 5 assists (5 goals from pens), Richarlison at a nearly relegated Everton got 10 goals, 5 assists (3 penalties), so they were identical with the difference between number of penalties. Richarlison also did that in 500 less minutes. Toney isn't worth the large money given he's not a ridiculously obvious upgrade, nevermind the fact he might not even take pens with Son.
Richarlison has been in the league for 7 seasons, played for Watford, Everton and Tottenham. Arguably Everton is on the same level as Brentford and Tottenham is better than both teams; and he hasn’t scored more than 13 goals in any of those seasons. Tony’s been in the league for 3 seasons, hit 12,20 and 4 fyi he was banned for 8 months being allowed in to training at 4 months meaning he wasn’t allowed to kick a ball for the first 4 months. Rich played 11 more games last season and scored 7 more goals. Tottenham need to sell Mr Richarlison and buy Ivan Tony.
@@MrMdotbizzle did you miss the part where Toney is heavily inflated by taking penalties, something he might not get to do at Spurs? Richarlison has been in the league longer, but he also played as a winger and came over as a teenager. Looking at games played is misleading as you can play 38 games and only actually play 38 minutes if you're subbed on for a single minute every game. Richarlison played 1500 mins because he made so many short sub cameos as he came back from injuries. Look at the actual numbers via minutes and Toney is not worth spending 50m on even if he's better than Richarlison. Obviously, if Richarlison was sold, that's a different argument. I don't think Richarlison has to score any more than 10-15 goals because Son is there. If those two combine for 25-30 goals, Spurs end up having a good season, which is what happened last year too and that's with both players missing a lot of games.
What is this obsession TalkSport pundits have with Toney? Is it because he took a penalty without looking at the ball?. He was poor in the league last season.
50 mil you give him a 4 year contract, that’s 12.5 mil depreciating every year + paying him maybe 7 mil ( 135k per week) that’s costing 20 mil a year he is not worth that imo at this moment with SUSTAINABILITY RULES. On a free for 150-180k is better
Not all clubs buy for resale value, silly if that's prime motivator, the obvious club is Arsenal who need a striker because don't have one, wasted money on Havertz last season and this season on a GK they don't need, but that's Arteta, doubling down on mistakes
Not really worth 50 mill cause he's 28 and in last year of his contract. We sold Kane at 29 in last year of his contract for more than 100 mill that is not the reason he's not worth it. Nobody truly knows if he has totally given up gambling and got his head back in the game yet that's the risk you are taking. he has scored a few goals and a couple penalties since coming back from his banned everyone thinks he's mustard.
It's unfortunate that, its only the "big" clubs that can afford the wages he deserves.....otherwise, I would recommend staying with Brentford and enjoy your football..... the so called big clubs didn't want him when he was going through a tough time (banned)
All this talk about his going to be paid this and that is rubbish. No one is bidding so Brentford will take 40 come mid August if only one club is interested. Toney may want 200+ but if the only offer is 150 which is multiples of what his on he will have it or stay on his current wage. It would be a massive risk trying again on a free at 29
