Gabe is a crusher. I really enjoyed “from dirt to soil,” and would like to shake his hand one day!

We feed the world by creating thousands of small town regenerative farmers through educating the next generation.

Basic common sense.

Farmers here in the USA.....feed people........with dirt cheap food prices ! One basic example is the price of " chicken " You cant produce a chicken for the price you can buy it in town ! Same with potatoes ! People in the USA complain about high food prices. Get a life !!!

@jerrylansbury9558 yes, however unless done regeneratively, at a great cost to taxpayers & the fiscus (subsidies etc), the environment & human well-being. But I get your point about access to low-cost food, although.. if it's not healthy, look at US health costs & expenditure. 'Hidden costs'

@@veziqiniso4425 As a dairy farmer........ we here in the USA have the best and highest quality food in the world ! It has nothing to do with " regenerative " " organic " or the like. As a former Peace Corps volunteer to Liberia Africa. I ate many foods there....most of which was wild bush animals/meat. None of this was inspected. You took it home ......cooked it and ate it ( if you could ) One time I bought a ground hog which was hanging out for sale a bit too long. It was blown up.....from being in the sun too long. Got it home and magots fell out of it. I still cooked it.........tried to eat it.....but vomited. I no longer eat ground hog meat. You could buy monkey meat.....or any other meat at the market. Perfectly healthy. None was ever inspected...but all was good quality meat ! Also take for example.... myself........milking cows...... a milker can fall / drop off of a cow....fall in the manure / pee. Its instantly sucked into the pipeline. Its blended into the tank of milk..and mixed with any other milk along the way. Is this healthy food ? Im betting nearly every dairy farmer has this happen every day. Nothing much to prevent it. Still.....here in the USA....we have the best quality food you can buy ! "Regenerative" is just a way to make money off of people whom fall for it. Do these so called farmers make their money off the land or....from other people / farmers ? For sure they dont stay home and make money off the land !

@@jerrylansbury9558 What a spew of crap. Gabe Brown has already PROVEN with hard data along with countless other famers who made the transition that regen ag produces more calories, profit, and nutrient density than any other farming practice. Hard. Data. So try not to be a hater.

How are you growing carrots or do you not grow them. I like this regenerative agriculture but i can't have cattle. How do you do it for the small gardner just for the family? I am going to do it but wondering how to do it with out a tractor and if i do get a tractor do they have a drill for small gardner??

Start researching notill gardening. We started 2 seasons ago and love this method. We use old flax straw for our mulch. Start small and learn as you go by practicing the principles that Gabe focused on. The most important process in my opinion is learning about soil aggregation and implementing those strategies for proper soil function to grow your nutrient dence vegetables that actually taste like they should. Good luck!

@understandingag, Gabe; love your message and approach & integrity. Just a suggestion- somehow the 'soil is sand, silt & clay' no longer fits with your and our message about soil: about a dynamic living system with billions of living organisms that we're regenerating through working in synchrony with nature by the management principles and practices adaptively applied to the land. Which stimulate ecosystem functioning and productivity. Thanks guys.

What would the impact to climate change if countries with deserts used regenerative agriculture to restore soils in deserts, creating productive soil. What business plan would make it a viable investment.
@ragnar0721
@ragnar0721 10 дней назад
Deserts are a ecosystem on their own. They should not be viewed as opportunity to reverse climate change. In such ecosystems, biodiversity loss will increase because of introducing changes because many species have evolved for those systems.

You cant farm......when you run the roads ! Same with Mr.Glyphosate ( Greg Judy ) He calls it profitable when hes not even a farmer ! Mr. Glyphosate needs multiple lines of income to even exist !

@@Jj-gi2uv Im well aware....... thats why I commented here. These are not farmers. They operate only for profit......and not from farming ! RU-vid is more of an income for them then farm life !

That maybe true of GJ...NOT of Gabe. He speaks from dearly paid for experience. Do better research concerning ANYONE involved with Understanding Ag or Soil Health Academies. They are involved for the right reasons, bring a wealth of knowledge & experience & ask little in return. They are mentors... not hucksters.

It’s ironic that he has educated so many people around the world who have changed their agricultural practices but has not convinced his neighbors to do the same. What’s up with that? Is it ego? They don’t want him to be right? It’s just odd to me

The basic point is...its all about money. Or you would not have these people on RU-vid asking for subscribers / likes etc. If they were really serious they would openly provide info with out the need for profit. PROFIT thats what its all about . And it has nothing much to do with farming / agriculture. An example .....if anyone asked me for info....or advise. Its 100% free. Ive lived it.....farmed it and have done so for 45 years. ..and have no desire or need for any profits ! Farming....be it whatever is about making a profit on the job work " farming " Not running the roads... charging money to make money !

You obviously know nothing of Gabe or his successes as a farmer/rancher....or what he is doing for the world or his motivations. BTW, his son has now taken over his very successful farm/ranch operation & continues to successfully expand. Gabe never ask for "likes" or "subscribes" to anything...ever. He teaches people to "fish"...if they want to learn. He secretly helps many for FREE. He testifies to congress at his own expense trying to help make a difference for both the environment (world) AND farmers success. I went to a Soil Health Academy where Gabe participated, partially on scholarship...I also went to one of Greg Judy's conferences just before that. I honestly learned much from BOTH but there were stark differences. That said, I am appreciative to what GJ has done & taught...he is being compensated for it. My Soil Health Academy was next level... three levels! ALL participating consultants were very approachable & helpful there...and after, not just if you owned 1000's of acres etc. (I only have 80 acres & was treated the same. ) Not one person there was being sold anything...just teaching & truly mentored. They actually gave so much away for free both then & after. Sadly at GJ's...I felt most of the time I was either being sold something (overpriced) or a constant advertisement & pitched. (For which GJ gets a piece of.) Also much less approachable. I would/ will attend another SHA 100% at my own cost but will not GJ's again. On final note, I strongly advise you to watch "Kiss the Ground" & it's sequel "Common Ground" before you speak much more to what you do not know.

@@CCRep123 Well.....Im 100% on board with you ! I have no issues what whats being presented here. But these things are not and should not be taught. They are " learned " from experience. Every farm experience is different. As a dairy farmer myself.. as stated.....Ive been doing these things for over 40 some years. Never needed someone to " teach " me ! Its all about the desire to learn ! Walk out the door....smell the air. Your so right about " Mr Glyphosate " ( Greg Judy ) For him its all about the money ! Try to leave a comment that he disagrees with .... he blocks those people ! Found a way to locate/identify those that are or have been blocked. Well over 1000 this year. I would have to ask.....why ? Ask Mr Glyphosate how many cows/ calves hes lost in a year because of calving issue. Your doomed to be blocked ! Same with questions around pink eye and foot problems in the cows. Hes never address how often his fences get taken out with deer. Everything with Mr Glyphosate is heavenly ! Or......you will go broke ! Has Mr Glyphosate ever done any experiments showing results in using fertilizers ? NONE ! Id not relating to 10 or 20 acres... Im relating to a few square feet. He wont even talk about it. Has Mr Gabe ever shown or done experiments relating to fertilizers ? Sorry......but Im very familiar with both and others too... in regards to the so called " regen " world. I just wont agree with many areas that others fall face first over. There are logical questions to be asked and expect an answer too. True....Mr. Glyphosate has multiple. ( as he calls them ) lines of income ( I guess so he dont go broke ?) Yah might get tired of naming them all !!!! Speeches ... fencing equipment.... selling " online " cattle ( for others / and his own ) He never mentions the prices. Only few. Follow whom you wish. I rather learn by doing ! And Im still not broke !!!!! Milked 40 cows on a 160 acre farm 110 tillable acres. Total equipment costs...as of today ....under 40,000 dollars including my S-10 Pickup. Hay equipment......planting equipment.. corn harvest equipment ( two row New Idea picker ) . Farmers choose to go broke ! They run the roads following others rather then doing their work !
