Gabino viper - a hybrid between venomous Gaboon viper and Rhinoceros viper (Uganda) 

That is THE most exquisitely beautiful viper I have ever seen.

I didn't realize they could crossbreed that has to be one of the most beautiful snakes I have ever seen

I was sixteen studying in Jinja in Uganda 20 yrs ago. One weekend I was sloping down from the school which was on top of a hill. The path led through a sugarcane plantation. Just after a bend, the most beautiful snake crossed the path infront of me. I am a typical African and afraid of snakes, but this was so stunning I just stood, petrified. The snake was not moving in an S shape, rather straight like a conveyor belt. The path was about a foot wide and I stood there for like 4 seconds and yet the girth of the snake kept growing wider until at it's maximum I'd say it had a 10cm diameter. I didn't see it decline into a tail. Then I got my wherewithal and finally ran off back the hill. I had never figured out which snake it was. I described the pattern and movement all these years. Until I saw this video. 100% it was a massive Gabino Viper. Exactly the colour of the one in this video. I am thoroughly grateful to you guys for giving me closure on one of the most spiritual experiences I have ever had in my life. And for that, I shall print a picture of a Gabino and hang it in my House.
