Hello we3kngs, welcome to the channel. I used a product called Versatex pvc trim. The Freeze is 5/4 x 8 x 18 Stealth Versatex. And the band board is 5/4 x 10 x 18 versatex trim. The Stealth trim has a dado that comes already cut into one edge. The Versatex is regular square both edges. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching, let me know if you have any more questions. And to tell you the truth it was my first-time wrapping trim in aluminum. I wish I would have used versatex pvc and I would have finished a lot faster. haha. Can I ask you what is your project and where are you located? One comment I have gotten from friends and fellow carpenters is how clean and simple the lines look. @@homesteadedman4784 Hey thanks for the reply. I live in the northeast (CT) I’m building a home for my family, that’s my daughter in the profile pic, I’m a 53 year old male. I’m acting as the general contractor on this build and finding out quickly that the devil is in the details of every aspect of building hence me nerding out over your siding videos.i will use vinyl siding as higher grade material is out of my budget for this line item. I’ve chosen Mathew’s brothers windows, but not sure if I will order them with or without a 5/4x 3.5” flat casing with j channel built in or just pay to trim each window with a pvc product. Good morning, Paul I bought Mathew's Brothers windows also, I did order them with the trim installed 5/4 x 3.5" with j channel. I think it's a solid product for the price point. I went with vinyl siding because I'm 62 I don't want to have to be up at the heights painting or paying someone else to paint it for me later down the road, also the cost benefits.
