This video consists of two elements presented simultaneously. Audio elements are mostly of the Sunday Mass at The Church of Saint Mary | The National Shrine of Saint Dymphna, Massillon, Ohio, U.S.A. on 14 October 2012. Dr. Thomas Kolar, Organist and Choirmaster; the Saint Mary Adult Choir; and parishioners, all participate.
The video begins and ends with the pealing of the bells of The Church of Saint Mary.
Following the initial pealing of the bells, Dr. Kolar performs parts of a musical selection from rehearsal on 11 October 2012. Then, the Gloria is followed by the Responsorial Psalm. This is Psalm 90, verses 12-17. The Gospel Acclamation is from Saint Matthew, chapter 5 verse 3. "Let Us Love One Another," (1 John, chapter 4) is the offertory hymn. "Go, Be Justice," (Martin Willett, John Wyeth) follows.
The visual part of the video consists mostly of a collection of photographs taken and compiled by Raymond Herbst between 2005 and 2012. In the first part of the video, the frames explain the origin and title of most of the named windows within The Church of Saint Mary following the special commissioning of Gabriel Loire, construction and installation of the windows for the nave, sanctuary, baptistery, and choir staircase in 1964 and 1965.
The plaques of the donors and the windows to the first west and the first east entrances to the church are also featured. The church had donors for the original set of windows in 1880 and donors for the second set of windows in 1964/65.
A fire on 4 August 2015, destroyed the Loire windows in the choir staircase and the baptistery as well as the donor plaques in the vestibule.
The second part of the video features the bricks that were added in the Summer of 2012 to the cross situated due south of the main entrance to the Church of Saint Mary.
The video is a tribute to the love and dedication of many church members, past and present, who have contributed time, talent, and funds to the church that offers praise and glory to the Most High God; Jesus Christ, His Son; and the Holy Spirit; and honors the Holy Mother of God and the work of the Holy Spirit through the life and death of Saint Dymphna.
