Sabatini had a 5 match streak against Graf in 1990-1991 not 8. Graf beat her at Wimbledon 1991, snapping the streak. Sabatini won their next 2 matches in 1992 then lost all 8 final matches of their H2H.
I always thought Graf vs Sabatini we’re better matches than Graf vs Seles Sabatini was such a great athlete , her athleticism bothered Graf into making errors . I’m a huge fan of Graf , whenever these two met I had to find time to watch.
@@wildfire1120 which of their matches do you feel rank above the French open final 1992, the US open final 1995 or the Australian open 1993 in your opinion?
@@wildfire1120 absolutely. It is one of the most captivating women’s match in the history of tennis in my opinion. The semi between Seles and Gaby too…
She just hit with too much topspin especially on the forehand which just sat up as she fell back when she hit it and by 94 the game was too fast for her to hit out on the backhand so had to resort to slice which worked against maybe the first round or 2 opponents but after that was in trouble. Yet she seemed to dominate Davenport which i never understood. Crazy thing is physically she was much stronger than Graf and should have started flattening out shots more.
@@andrews6341Barbara Potter mentioned once that she felt Gaby strung her racquets way too tightly, and that exacerbated things. She was taking huge swings at the ball and getting no depth.
