Stop saying "Change back too your old sound, this doesn't suit you. It isn't your sound." She can do what she wants with her music. I personally love English Rain but I really love the new album too. Being a musician is about evolving. Listening to music is about evolving. A year ago I loved Paramore. They were my favourite band for about 6 years. This year I changed my taste and now I love Arcane Roots. What's the point in living if we don't change and evolve? She wants to change her sound. Let her. I mean if she changed her music to heavy metal, I would support her because if that is what floats her boat she may as well do it.
Paramore... My heart is still into that band. Even when the flames began after they broke apart and it was just misery business. That's what you get, I guess. :(
Everyone saying "I love her old style better"... I think it's incredibly inspiring to see musicians expand their musical horizons the way she is otherwise all her music would be super repetitive. She is in a new stage in her music and life and obviously her writing style is going to change. I have been a Gabrielle super fan since 2011 so seeing her transition into a new style is extremely exciting! It shows just how much she has grown and the potential she has to be GREAT in other genres. Think about how much more successful Taylor Swift's 1989 vs. all her repetitive, country, breakup albums she's made combined! Stop saying she should go back to her old style or that it is better - it's just different and different is good. Good on you for taking risks, Gabs! xx
It's probably better off this way keep her music pure her new music is good also that will ruin things if she becomes too well known because she is already a very notable artist
Thats all great to say but no band will have the exact same music style and album as the last because the industry is always changing 😊 and this is her job so whatever style sells more records is what she will carry on with. No hate on purpose i just wanted to make this point 😄👍
charlotte green X Surely, but she shouldn't forget the amazing music that made people become her fans. Since it works, she should at least have some songs that are based on that style rather than changing it completely for the industry. As long as she enjoys making music, that's all that matters.

charlotte green X Although this maybe true artists also change as people and their style will change naturally with their personality. I will always be a fan no matter how her music changes because there's still that something she adds to her songs that other artists lack in my opinion.
Perfect! Her folky stuff is amazing, but this just shows how much talent she has, she can do a range of musical styles. Who is to say she won't keep her original style? This is only one song off an album! Wish we didn't have to wait all summer for her to release the CD
I used to love Gabrielle for having simple cute acoustic songs that were just catchy. But this new album seems like something amazing! She kinda kept all of the best parts of her old songs and made something so professional and dynamic! I love that she keeps getting better!

The whole change of her reminds me a little of a young Florence she will bloom from a little rose into a giant sunflower loved gab right from the start :) great to hear some new tunes from her
I heard this song in the radio, and it brought me here. Though the CTR of this song is lower than Gabrielle's other songs(like Please Don't Say You Love Me, The Power Of Love.....), I love this song more than other songs. Her voice is suitable for this style of music😍

I'm really proud of what she has achieved so far. I loved the new style, you know? people change, they grow up but you can clearly see the amazing musician she has become. I remember those days when she grabbed her camera and started to record some covers of songs in her bedroom and now she is so successful, I just couldn't be more happy.
