You can get their 2019 live BluRay with Angie (there's some clips of it on RU-vid as well). There's also a bunch of clips from the livestreams they did over 2020 and early 2021 with Angie as well on RU-vid!

A friend sent me a link to Doll$boxx's "Take my chance" video and when it began I thought it was going to be one of those annoyingly shrill idol acts.. Then the song began and I was amazed. Then the autoplay wa son and I was introduced to Band Maid who also have a brilliant bassist and guitarist. I love both of them as well as Wagakki Band. My best friend is Japanese and her family in Japan has been kind enough to track down CDs for these and all of the other Japanese bands I enjoy and send them to me. Good reason to make sure I have fund sin my Paypall account

@@delbomb3131 Rather than meaning 'less than' I believe the '>' is showing the progression of bands he discovered, i.e. first he found Wagakki, then Babymetal, then Jupiter, etc. I could be wrong but that was my understanding.

They are all amazingly talented but Hana is stand out incredible !

Watching Hana drum like a monster while having all that breath control is amazing - this band just does everything right!!

That's called post production. How much is hard to say without the raw tracks to compare. A better question is how do they play at that level of energy for two solid hours?

Pretty sure that Oreo is the only one who got autotuned in post for this. Hana's a remarkable talent, to say the least.

+CFH Cosplay Not much post production on this DVD besides the standard mixing/mastering/EQing. Autotune is very easy to spot if you know what you're listening for. Besides which, you can hear several points in this where notes are not quite hit which are left untouched. Having seen them live several times this standard of performance is their default.

There are some recordings. The most glaring is the open of Hunting Summer. During the first verse, there's the sound of sticks on the hi hat, but Hana clearly isn't playing it.

@traxan650 Yes there are some programmed synths and percussion parts, standard for a band that mixes electronic styles with pop/rock as GS do. Also, don't be fooled into thinking that is cheating in any way at all, keeping a band perfectly in sync with backing stems is not a simple task.

Hey man, I know this is an old comment but I can add a bit to this. Good on you for catching what Tomozo said about Mai, she was talking way too fast for most of her monologue for me to catch much of it. When talking about Hana, I believe she said the dancers were afraid of Hana at first because of her cool, reserved attitude. This is also the reason they call Hana the big brother of the band (she's the mature one). She told a story about Hana's father and mentioned "kaburimono" which is headgear; I think he was wearing a funny hat or something, which Hana often does. Koga and Oreo respond with "oyako da ne!" Oyako means "father and child" so, like father like daughter. On their flight to China for a show, it was actually a Japanese flight attendant (Nihonjin no cabin attendant) who thought Koga was Chinese, which is even funnier! The last thing Tomozo says about Koga sounds like "Nihon dewa imaichi desu ga, Chuugoku dewa daininki" I think roughly that means what's not good or popular in Japan is popular in China (meaning Koga!) The Ben Jan Dan bit; Oreo is unhappy that Ben Jan Dan represents three instruments, and she feels excluded. She keeps saying "san-nin" meaning three people; she wants the song to represent four people ("yonin"). She flubs the line a little bit and says san-nin again when she means yonin and Koga laughs at her. Since Ben Jan Dan represents Bass, Guitar, and Drum, Oreo wants it to be Ben Jan Dan BEEP to add the keyboard. Nobody likes this idea. :) That's all I have right now, maybe in another 4 months I'll be able to add some more 笑

@@lindsey1675 haha, I wish I could but I haven't made any new breakthroughs in understanding the dialogue. They talk so fast I usually don't even know what words are being said. I want to take up studying Japanese again so maybe I'll be able to come back and contribute more later.

In one Koga's more recent interviews, she said they all compose, and then work on music as a band. Mai (The performer) does most of the choreography for the dancing though.

last couple of years, the band has taken a 'we all compose' stance, but hana has always written the music. armmy wrote most of the lyrics in the first year thus the uber sexy tone. I'm guessing that hana wrote the lyrics for 'more power' as they match some of the 'delicious' lyrics in their somewhat moralistic tone and bluesy rockin style. delicious and winner were hana writing for hana as lead singer.(except when she wrote for tmz then hana wrote it cute.) (P.S. hana actually wrote the cute tomo-z0 songs for oreo who was supposed to be the overthetop diva. instead it appears that hana decided on a do or die attempt at the last minute to make oreo into a real lead singer and diva ... by writing a rock song based on a waltz and have oreo out front singing lead while playing accordion. for some reason oreo only had a few weeks to learn accordion. hana had to take the vocal lead and oreo says she cried all the way through the song on their first live performance. thus 'das bird' was born. and died. haven't seen the accordion in any other song thankfully. I think hana is very close to perfect but this just proves that even angels have feet of clay.

Don Korte, is that so? Koga implied Hana did most of the sequencing but they all wrote their own fair share. Don't get me wrong, Hana is amazing, but I love Koga just as much, she's always appears so happy and energetic.

hana is amazing and so is koga but people don't realize how hard it is to write a good song farless turn out consistently great stuff for 5 + years. koga brought in the first song but armmy wrote the lyrics(ultra sexxxy...) koga also told the story of how armmy wrote word but hana created the music(early on with the help of a friend of koga's who was a professional arranger. hana ripped apart lock-on and created some seriously rockin dance tunes. then they bought broken lover from someone now associated with baby metal (also a friend of koga's?) which hana also dissected in order to create half a dozen very bluesy tunes. ben jan dan was apparently the girls screwing around on the instruments with armmy being added in later. the only other important song from the first(real)year is MORE POWER. this song is special. when I first heard hana singing this I loved it and was amazed to later find out that hana wrote this song for army. she didn't this is hana's song through and through, she just let army sing it. this song greatly resembles the songs from delicious and to some extent winner. the lyrics have a moralistic tone that armmy never touched ; are not unlike say...never say never. now from victor on i'd say that hana has backed off a bit to allow others more input. tmx is doing solos so needs more material but likely she's just providing the guitar work. and oreo's cry fest as she longs for her pipe smoking hana is very likely her creation with hana helping dot the eyes and cross the tees. and even if koga fibbed a bit on the song creation process, remember that from the time tmz arrived they have all been playing a character and giving the crowd what they want, likely telling them what they want to hear,,,that's showbiz...(did anyone actually think that oreo was on tour looking for a ...man...with hana sitting six feet away...really?

Tomo-zo's guitar work includes every style, technique, effect, and tone and she's does it effortlessly which allows her to be there smiling, happy, and totally confident. What she does is a lot more important than I originally thought. Armmy was important to creating their initial momentum and really set the "high energy" physicality to a high level which the rest of the girls have since picked up and maintained. I think the dancers are pretty important and I really like how every performer continues to grow and add new skills. I also think we may see Hana showing some considerable dancing skill soon as well as some surprising new skills from the other members. If they released the live version of Setsanuku in this show as a music video, it could receive a pretty high rotation even today. This is a powerful band worthy of world wide recognition and they are so serious about kicking ass and being creative that they might not know that they are also very pretty.
