From the moment this song played during the Dirge of Cerberus credits, I was hooked. This was the song that introduced me to Jrock and Japanese music and got me interested in Japanese culture, NHK etc. Can't believe it's already been 17 years. How time flies....
Japanese syllabarys are very simple and always remain the same. There are only 100+ possible sounds that can be made compared to the 8000+ possible sounds made in English. Because of this, the words sound very pure and melodic.
+Adam Weston (Aedin Belmont) I'm honestly hoping it ends up more like a reboot. Even though they have confirmed that the entire story from the original will be staying in the remake we're also getting more story added to what already exists so the story will actually be somewhat different. I'm hoping that they take that and retcon the events of AC and DoC so they can make those two better. The gameplay was alright in DoC but the story, the dialogue, and the voicing all just pissed me off.

Although I've not looked into the actual location as to where he was born, he is a Japanese musician, as well as a Singer, Songwriter, Record Producer, and an Actor. One of my favorite movies he stared in was a Movie called Moon Child, which was released in 2003. It is a Japanese, Science, Fantasy, Horror, and Action film that stars him and Hyde as the main characters. But is categorized under Action/Scifi. Although he is now 47yrs old, and I only 32, I remember falling across his music as a young teenager and have been a fan ever since; around the time that The GazettE, and Hyde, among others, were really popular with the Manga/Anime fans of the early 2000s; myself included. So, I don't forget them releasing some tunes, even though I wasn't able to witness all of them being released from the start. ^-^
When this song came on at the end of Dirge of Cerberus and you’re in epic vampire form just shooting shit like crazy, I was like fuuuuuuck yeah. I was also a huge Malice Mizer fan and Gackt was my fave singer. It was the coolest shit ever.

i thought they basically decided to ditch anything ff7 expanded in the remake? Like i even heard advent children and dirge are both cut out of canon sadly. i hope youre right and im wrong
I genuinely hope to see Genesis return since we got Weiss. GACKT IS MAIN STORY CANON YAASS. I'm 26 and I can't help bit fangirl at the thought of the return of Gackt as Genesis!!

Gackt friggin owns this performance. So natural at what he does and nothing seems awkward at all, he goes all out and just kills it. Oh, Gackt. You are amazing.
If you are just now discovering Gackt, you have a lot of catching up to do! Been listening to him for about 12 years now, long before Dirge of Cerebus, and his music has remained incredible over the years! (His sings very clearly, and this helped while studying Japanese/Linguistics in college years ago!)

My first time hearing of him. Although I can't understand what he's saying, his music and vocals are on POINT!! I like his technicality in his music. It's very soothing to the ears

Cloud and Genesis. He voices two characters to two highly popular games and Genesis was based off him. That's freaking awesome. How many artists anywhere can say they have 1 character, in game or movie, based off of them? I don't know of any others lol #gackt

I'll never forget discovering Japanese culture after playing my most fav game ever (Final Fantasy X), and moving on to find Japanese artists. Funnily enough this was one of the first songs I found (this and some by Perfume who are now one of my fav ever music artists ever!) I lost this song for about 12 years but I rediscovered it last week and I am now absolutely loving it!! Such a beautiful voice. Amazing music. I love GACKT!💞🎉
