Gotta love a pedalboard reset, I do this at least every 2 years, sometimes going all the way down to just my amps (Two-Rock and PRS Dumble-esque amps with overdrive channels). Then I slowly add pedals over the course of a year or two until I have too many and have to reset again. 😀 The best part is when I sell a bunch of pedals and buy some sort of high end amp or guitar, the slow upgrade treadmill.
Joey, hope you feel better soon sir! Keep the faith and thanks for cranking this one out. Always love to hear you play, even when you may not feel ‘on’ as it were. Sign of a true pro! 🙏❤️👍
Another brilliant video thanks Joey and Anna, its funny how we all keep adding pedals and options trying to recapture/reignite the puure musicall fun of just plugging in a decent amp and trugint it up! I'm especially guilty of this so thanks for the reminder to keep it simple and re-focus on the guitar playing Joe! Hope all you lovely people are keeping well in Bros land.
Man that tone is killer! You always make we want to run and pick up my guitar and slide … And then I do and have to put it back down cause it so doesn’t sound like you’re playing LOL
A hammond video in the living room would be cool !! Does Joey play the hammond too ? would love to see a bit of that ;D !! also really great downsizing the pedalboard and stuff sometimes, go take a look at Uncle Larry's intros , just guitar and amp usually, if yall dont watch already ;D Wish yall the best !!
Nice board! Like many others, I've ended up with a bunch of extra pedals with nowhere to put them. What to do? Buy another board, of course! Heck, I bought the pedals because I wanted them and they're taking up space in the cabinet that could be used for other things. The new board showed up Saturday, so now I have the pleasure of deciding what goes where and how. Joey, I hope whatever is/was ailing you is gone in short order. Find a quiet room and play through your feelings. Be well.
Hugs, Joey. Joey's "not-100%" is both staggering impressive and uplifting at the same time. Will be on the lookout for Joey's cover of Lana Del Rey's "Sad Girl"
The best part of this is how much like Joey's tone it sounds without an amp. Awesome! Makes me want to test the new Simplifier. Any comment on how you monitor this rig Joe?
Hello Joey. I am a stuff at a guitarshop at japan. I was very impressed with the line out sound of this pedalboard. I would like to use it as a reference, so could you please tell me the signal chain?
Joey, your rig sounds GREAT through the Simplifier Mkii!! Curious about how you feel it stacks up against other direct solutions you've used (Two Notes and the like)?
Let me put it this way.. he feels like I felt as I was on my way to cologne to see joey and the the band from Frankfurt and missed it due to traffic jam. I will allways regret it because of the special Acoustic Quartet . Ok Joey let me see the show again soon in Germany or Europe and put some more dates after your Denmark Gig in Europe. If not I will build the same Pedalbord and be sad. Please Joey!!!!! Best regards and wish you feel much better soon.
Love to! His latest release with Taj Mahal is wonderful. As well as the record before that, Prodigal Son. Also check out get rhythm and bop til you drop. Killer records!
Ever try a swart space tone tremolo? That can get pretty nasty tweed sounds. Little guy at 5 watts !! Cool new board, hopefully see ya back in calgary soon Cheers 🍻
How the hell did I not know that the Landreth’s have a RU-vid channel and how is this the first time that a video from their channel pops up on my feed?!?
1) Congrats on the imminent new Landreth. I'm sure Joey knows the joy that having a sibling close in age can bring. 2) I have a dual loop selector I'm not using, with the magic ingredient of order-flipper switch, for instant reconfiguration of a pedalboard without having to repatch anything. Simple, compact, and always useful. It's yours if you want it. Just let me know, and I'll pop it in a box to ya. Vibe-into-drive OR drive-into-vibe at the flick of a toggle. Cheers Mark
I thought this was going to be a Sad Boi pedal board (which is a pop-punk adjacent genre) and got excited. Turns out this is more of a Nashville Blues Lawyer sound (odds are you probably brew or have brewed your own beer at some point). Disappointed in that regards but enjoyed anyways. Great tones.
Love the videos and the music!!! Two pedals to check out…. Tulpa fx Tsathoggua…. Super killer tweaked Clark super gainster… the dude that makes them is a peach of a fellow….. all hand built and sound AMAZIMG! and like v1-4 original OCD pedals… I know… I know…. Im predicting they’re making a comeback… I play primarily lapsteel… I have an old rick B8 and a supro jet airliner from the 50’s… it’s hard to find pedals that jive….the OCD jives…. I know… I know… it’s sad… but it’s true…. So 🤷🏼♂️ ✌🏼
I visited Paul at Stereobus recently and poked my head into the workshop when he was giving me a tour. I could tell at a glance that you have put a lot of work into your setup! And based on this vid and what I heard at your show at the Burt, it sounds like that hard work paid off. Your tones are always super tasty!
Get well soon bud! Nasty bug going around Winnipeg. Our family all got it and it sucks. Also…when your idol simplifies his board, “well looks like it’s about time I do the same”
