[UNBOXING & SETTING]
- Take every material out of the MATHIS box.
- Remove the foam from the turntable hub.
- Put the turntable hub back into the core.
- Then bring the drive belt to loop around the hub and use the extension key to extend it into the golden pin.
- To check if it’s in the lock, use your hand to spin the hub.
- When you see both the drive belt and the turntable hub correspond, bring the metal platter to place over them.
- Place a slipmat on the top.
[SET UP COUNTERWEIGHT]
- Gently push and turn the counterweight onto the rear of the tonearm (with the scale facing toward the front of the turntable).
- Carefully rotate the counterweight until the tonearm balances out.
- The tonearm should return to the balanced position if it is moved up or down.
- This adjustment must be done carefully.
- Hold the counterweight without moving it, and gently rotate the downforce scale ring until the zero - "0".
- Then turn the counterweight counterclockwise toward the tonearm 1 round rotation, converge at the same number 0 to obtain a weight of 2 grams or equal to the weight of the stylus.
[SET UP ANTI-SKATING WEIGHT]
- The next step is to install anti-skating weight, place the turntable on the flat surface.
- Since this stylus’s weight is 2 grams, we will tie the string on the 2nd mark.
- To see if it’s correct, measure again by weighing on the needle weighing scale.
- Put on the dust cover from the back.
- Turn on the turntable.
[BLUETOOTH CONNECTION]
- Connect the turntable to your Bluetooth speaker by pairing mode,
notice if the Bluetooth symbol on the back of MATHIS has a flashing light indicating that it is connecting.
- When the light is steady, they’re connected successfully.
[PHONO OUT / LINE OUT JACKS]
- You could also plug in Phono Out/ Line out jacks from the back of the turntable to connect to the speakers as well.
- Place the vinyl on the machine and adjust the speed to either 33 RPM or 45 RPM according to the vinyl you’re playing.
- Unlock the tonearm and move it towards the vinyl.
- Then lower the tonearm by moving the cue lever so that the stylus gradually touches onto the vinyl.
[USB ENCODING]
For USB encoding, just open your program or music production software and select input to USB Microphone. When hitting a record, music from the vinyl will be converted to a digital file right away.
