Obviously the 102 dislikes are those who had the unfortunate bad luck of being born with no soul or the ability to appreciate something that is truly special and unique in many ways. That's too bad. Keep trying. Someday you may feel that spark and ignite your dead souls.

My brother my twin had bridal bone syndrome the pain he went thur and I was born healthy I hated to see him like that what a life and then I found you and I see life differently I just wish I would of found you before he committed suicide there's not a day that I don't listen to bound by a thred wow you are and amazing woman and wow for your parents thank you for sharing

Welcome to the tube my friend. I’ve only been scribbling comments here myself for about 6 weeks. I absolutely feel you. I can count on significantly less than one hand the number of times in my life I have had to “take a moment” after a song, but this is definitely one of them. Impossible to really describe , but it’s definitely a moment of crushing, overwhelming emotional chaos, deep inside, that literally leaves you paralyzed for a few minutes while you come to terms with it. Magic.

The expression and emotion in her voice is amazing, and the cherry on the top is watching her facial expressions, she is so truly talented, I'm blessed to be in the world where I can enjoy her gift of talent and artistry. I do not know if these performers intended this song to be a prayer, a poem or an observation on life. It is is inspired. It is beautiful and it really touched my heart in ways that I cannot explain. The last time this happened to me was when I listened to the Irish group called 'The Gloaming'. I loved every bit of it. A revelation. Buíchas mór (Huge thanks).
I love that it seems the comment section on her videos are the only sacred place on the internet, so many people are struck in the beauty and rawness of this artist. Such magic that she can somehow soothe and transfix us all or leave us all weeping.
Cngratulations to this woman who has obviously worked hard to get where she is now , but also to her parents, or who ever raised her. They must have worked hard to give her the opportunity to develop her talents and encouraged her to persevere against what must have felt like impossible barriers.

We are given our bodies and what we're able to do with them depends on one's place in history, the technology available and of course, one's ability to make a life of one's own. You would benefit from watching Gaelynn Lea's presentation in a TEDx talk where she speaks to how she made her way into music and song writing. That you work a 9-5 job, such as I do, rests on our own choices which are made of social conditioning, our own self-limiting thinking and the families we grew-up in. You are as special as this woman; one need not be in the limelight to be special. Be present to yourself and to your life and you will see your own gifts. By the way. Gaelynn learned to "play instruments and all the shit woooooo" the way anyone learns to play an instrument: she practiced. You can , too. Go for it!

ok , im back 24 hrs later because i cant get this song out of my head, i played it for my wife last night and we both shared a tear or two, i even purchased the song from itunes. im a punk/hard rock kinnda guy , but this song touches me and leaves me speechless in a way i cant explain.
