This band caught me by total surprise in Wacken this summer. Had never heard of these guys before, but luckily we happened to enjoying beer nearby when Gaerea started their set and I was immediatelly hooked. Watched the whole set and enjoyd it a lot. For once I was in the right place at the right time! Cheked their discography after the festival, and seems that all they have released so far is really solid.
I just listened to their latest album. Pretty good band! But I have to say, for me Corpus Christii is the best in Portugal. With a video title like that you can expect some objections I suppose ;)
I really enjoyed the deep conversation. Great band indeed. Looking forward to seeing them one day soon. Thank you both and the team behind Rauta for this interview.
Being from the same generation & Scandinavia, I'm surprised you call this black metal. They give me metalcore vibes more than anything, and this interview solidifies that notion. Black metal and urbanism don't go well together in the first place. With that said, I enjoy your interviews.
Hmm interesting idea. Well, since a lot of old black metal bands are from big cities and urban encounters, I don't think it's that odd even if Norwegians try to gixe everything more rural touch.
Wow, really surprised you interviews them, much less are into them. Personally I thought they were a bit hyped and more for Deafheaven fans than the normal bands you review on here.
What can I say: I really like their music both live and on albums, and I got to talk this guy both on and off camera. Nice lad. I have met a lot dumber people in my life.
I have pictures of him and the rest of the team. No Masks. Normally. Awesome boys. So on. I did them with my girlfriend in Germany in Köln at the Volta club after the concert. I am from Poland, but I live in Kolonia now. A souvenir for the rest of your life. I'm waiting for the next concert. Kind regards...
@@bbr00tal96 A keepsake for life. GAEREA is truly amazing. I've been listening to metal for 27 years. I play a little guitar at home myself. As I have already written to you. But GAEREA heals me. They do heal my soul. that I take it. You have to love music to understand it. I'm right??? And yes, I come from Poland, but I have been living in Köln - Cologne in Germany for several years. I cordially greet you... 🎸🤘🤘🤘🎸
@@MetalAndHell666 YES! ever since I found out about them last week I literally cannot stop listening to them and just diving into everything I can find of them. Outstandingg
They’re new album is great. In general, they remind me of Kriegsmaschine which is a side project of the Mgła guys. Also if you had a gun to your head could only one of these, which do you go with: Perturbator, Carpenter Brut, Dance with the Dead?
@@RautaMetal you should check them out more when you have the time. Dance with the Dead especially; they’re pretty much synthwave with metal incorporated into it.
Kiitos Jerry! Not many interviews get oldish fart like me to seek new music of any genre but via this quality interview I decided to give Gaerea a spin. Interesting band
@@RautaMetal You speak really good English. I've noticed that many times in your interviews. And you can also speak a few words of German!? 😀🤔👌Finnish language isn't easy to learn I think. Isn't easy for me to read it 😅 I have a question. Why isn't satanic warmaster recognizable in the interview? I watched the interview a few months ago and I could see his face. Your interview with Nattefrost was great too, he's crazy. I like that...😜💣😅😉 Natte should go to gym. 5-6 times a week. That's like a really good drug😎🖤 I did it for 7 years. I love muscles soooo much💪💪💪 I have seen you train hard. ... Don't stop it😜✌️💕😈💣💣
Danke schön! I only know very little German and a bit of Spanish. Mostly I speak Finnish and English tho. Glsd you liked those interviews. SW was blurred because the artist asked so. It's in the video description. I am planning to do another Nattefrost interview if he's cool with it. Going to gym is of course good. I do it 4 tlmes a week with a focus on powerlifting.
