Gaffer & Gear 38 - Tuning Shadows with Brushed Silk This unique gel enables the changing of the shadow axes and tuning of liner shadows such as window blinds
I'm very blessed that I have recently come across your channel which is giving me professional training and knowledge I am finding nowhere else. Thank you.
I always use a brushed silk diffuser since ever to get modelling across the face without nasty shadows under the nose and the chin is surprising earing that people don't use anymore.
I like that one. Might come in handy for some expressionistic stuff. By the way, just watch short video from Cooke Optics channel with Julian White. Well worth watching too.
Yeah haven’t seen that gel for a decade or two, I like your videos mate but this ones never gonna happen . Although that said the next job will probably have some young DOP with some cool idea about using brushed diff to grade the shadows that he saw on the internet. Keep up the good work, love the way you fellas say Data 🤘😎
If this was put across the "doors" of a kino, at right angles to the tubes, would it help to better spread/diffuse? Maybe yes, but not enough to make it useful for much?
