Yes it certainly has been there for a very long time, I remember going there many many years ago. Never forget Ryde and Ventnor. Thank you for going there, it bought back so many memories.

Love this. I was last in IOW in 92 and stayed at Ryde in an old deserted beach hut for the weekend with my boyfriend and our dogs. Happy days. Great memories 🙏🏻😁🧡

My uncle worked there for many years, by the stairs you went up was the work shop, was full of old machines when I use to visit a kid, rooms upstairs was used for the staff. The main area had a false ceiling.

Matt what a lovely place the wooden ceiling was epic to see and also seeing the old coloured glass panels love to see the building back in it’s hay days 😊

Wow, spent many hours in that place. Strange seeing it like this without all the lights and sounds.

Many a game of shove penny in there. Lived 10 mins away. It was originally a live theatre hall in the late 1800's but then converted to arcade. I've also heard it was a roller skating and dance venue in between but that is unconfirmed.

used to have a daily game of pool there back in the 80"s.............the table was right the front where you entered.

That would have been a cool place in the past with all the old slot machines.

You need recognition from the tourist board for all these places you display. I had never heard of Ventnor and visiting it is now on my bucket list

I read up this place was used for concerts and stuff and used for dancing and skating and First World War it was used for assembling aircraft parts.

It looks like an old Victorian building with the dome, etc., which has been added to around the outside. I bet all that could be demolished except for the dome which I wouldn't be surprised if it were a listed building
