All player stats driven - which is the WORST way to balance a game... If the game was balanced properly you'd have absolute anarchy for months, particularly from German and Russian players; because a lot of their vehicles are grossly undertiered due to being played by more new / bad players that tank the stats. It's unbelievable how much hand holding those nations gets with their vehicles. A lot of skilled players maining countries like France and Britain, where their vehicles are nerfed into the ground by Gaijin due to inflated stats when they're facing blind players in ground RB maining Germany etc.
The F2H-2 has become one of, if not, my favorite low-tier jet in the entire game and I'm glad it's at 7.3 where it belongs IMO. I can't believe Gaijin actually put this thing up at 8.3 at some time which is just absurd. No way it could compete with the fighters in that bracket. Here's hoping it stays at 7.3, because I want to be able to fly it out without getting sad.
@@jpc6485Honestly fair, the Banshee could go up to 7.7 and it'd still be fine. Anything higher than that is absurd though. Although I do think the Banshee fits in right at 7.3, jack of all trades but master of none which still takes skill to fly.
I got this thing as my first jet when it was at 7.7 and I thought it was a bad jet but then I remembered at the time of course I was new to jet’s I know some of you will say skill issue get better at the game lmao but there is a lot to learn from going to prop’s to jet’s
I got this when it was 8.0 or 8.3 i can’t remember and i remember it was bad (or i was just bad) so i never played but when it got moved down i started to play it again and i love it
It used to be so good. I remember getting aces in this thing just because people didn't expect it to pop flaps and have a stall speed lower than a biplane.
its because they keep changing the flight model, if you go year by year this plane goes from energy fighting mig 15 non bis, trough outspeeding the mig 9, to out turning the meteor mk3. the same applies for its battle ratings, it ranged from fighting mig 17s trough mig 9s meteors and me 262s down to prop planes. Imo, its first itteration was its best performance spot and br spot both. These days its arguably in its worst performance spot, hence its 7.3, a battle rating completely ridicolous for a plane of its power and max speed.
As a low tier grinder, Gaijin has no idea how to balance anything at all. BR is absolutely meaningless. Russian planes are basically x wings and US planes lose 50% energy if you even touch the stick.
is this happening to anyone else or im the only one...a week ago or few days since small patch im having these issues every day in almost every match: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ToToMyQdnEY.html i have 8 videos there same thing...wtf???
I played it a ton right after it got moved to 7.3 and I can confidently say it’s pretty damn strong mainly due to the engine power and speed compared to everything else
Man, I’m digging the new intros! As someone who only started WT about 6 months ago, I love the background/history/context on a plane with the vapor wave background before jumping into the gameplay+commentary. 👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you!
It and the F9F-2 are my favorite jets but I don't see why the F9F-2 is at 8.0, i understand the -5 is but the -2 is about the same capability as this thing
That LA-200 fully tried stealing your kill while he was flatspinning and you were .4km away. What makes you think he was using any braincells whatsoever that game when he took the headon with the IL-28 lmao. Love the new intro btw
I really like early jets, but the battles are so boring. You take a lot of time to reach the battlefield, the fight lasts less than 5 minutes, and then there will always be a Tu-4 or a B-29 camping at around 14.000m
the F2H-2 is definitely an interesting one, it sits in a spot where it can be really strong at its B.R or in a downtier but gets bullied by SU-11's and LA-200's in an uptier and planes that are way more capable then itself. I love it
4:50 sad that while more RP is gained from more time spent in match, so many people still play the game like a coin flip fest where they just churn through the head-ons one after the other and sometimes come out the other end of the joust with their plane intact. Early jets is roughly about the time where the game starts to get really grindy, though.
the F9F2/5 need to be 7.7, and the F9F8 should be 8.0 (yes it has missiles but OMG its dog crap at flying) the F80C should be 7.3 Idk why the ME163 and Ki200 are 8.7 they should be 8.3 imo. the F4E needs to be 10.7 cuz its dog shit and its radar is unusable, it also doesn't get any all aspect missiles. so idk wtf its 11.0.. and most importantly they need to cap the BR spread from +3/-3 to +2/-2 so you dont see a full 1.0 up or down tier anymore cuz that stuff is cancer. the F2H-2 at 7.3 is fine imo.. the thing is a whale, bleeds speed like a anvil dropped into the ocean, and is super slow to accelerate. its one of the only planes the US has at a good BR
I would love playing these jets and enjoying real dog fights compared to top tier problem is 16v16 I'm so sick of this massive furrball just when you think your good you look to the left and there's two dudes right there and there's nothing your doing to escape it. I really wish the maps were all SIM style with respawn and people could play 15 to 30 minute games
2x1400 kgf engine thats the strongest thing about this plane. Most things at this br has 1x1600 or 2x800. You wont out turn anyone straight up. But you can energy fight really well. Key is to lure them into fight and make them bleed energy while keeping speed above 500kph otherwise your a brick. After the energy bleed you can recharge speed by small jinking, while doing this 10 degree climb allow you climb decently without losing speed. Once you reach 700 kph, you can decide the fight against the now limp low energy enemy. Few other tips, airbreak and lowering throttle help in hard corner turn. But dont over do it unless ur starting from 700 kph.
F2h is generally average in flight performance It does have good thrust, and accelerates well Also it can pull very high gs at speeds above 450mph do wing break. This is why i'd like the F9F to get this BR matches more often. They've always been the underdog
3:33 You know the way I view kill stealing is that it's like eating off another person's plate. VERY DAMN RUDE. At least the dude was bad enough that he didn't manage to steal the kill.
i i don't know why the spitfire MK 27 is 7.0, the plane is slow as fuck! even the F2G at 6.0 is so much faster! all the griffon spitfires are nerfed to the ground!
I got this plane back in the days as my first main jet. Everone hated on it and it had a bad reputation... I did better in it than in the p80 (F80 today) or any other early jet. Worked for me.. I remember the guns to be a bit shot gun like.
I’ll tell you why you won both of those fights in the last part of the video, the plane can decide if you win or lose, but 99.999999 percent of the time, it’s the player
I played the F2H-2 when it was 8.3 as my first jet in the entire game, and I was trying to figure out whether it was me that was trash, or the plane. It turned out to be the BR that was trash(And myself too.)
You can treat this aircraft as the early preparation for the later American turn fighters like F-5E and F-16ADF. It has good energy retention, great climb rate and the sustain turn rate is superb for it's tier.
I've been playing WT for a long time and it seems like the number of teammates/enemies who full commit head on is higher than ever. There are matches where half the team is vaporized in the first furball (and I'm not talking about missile thunder). Maybe this is rose tinted glasses, but I don't remember it being like this years ago. Perhaps players coming into this game nowadays just don't take the time or care about learning to dogfight properly. Many of the head ons I see in matches are totally avoidable.
I think people forgot that this plane went even up to 8.3 for a short period of time. Of course that was when I was still trying to spade it. Still love the plane tho
@@_Joob Really? I've managed to have a fair experience with it honestly. The engines are fairly strong for a 7.0 and it seems to retain energy well, maneuverability won't be winning you any ballets but it's enough to handle 262s, Su-11s and the like. AN/M2s are beautiful as usual and you get plenty of ammo. The air spawn is also very helpful and really allows for a significant altitude boost. I play it the same way I'd play a P-51, very aggressive boom-n-zoom and head-ons with targets that are too agile or too fast, and turn fights with the bulky jets stupid enough to do so. I've actually gotten some pretty high kill games with it in the past. Granted, I'm also the kind of individual who actively enjoys using the Skyraider as a fighter, lol
