In every must read book for SE engineers you will encounter Code complete. You are absolutely right sir, i am a student of iqra Uni karachi main campus. I always look for CS books in the library, but I hardly find any of the recommended books. please continue your book series. If you may share your opinion on the Donald Knuth book on algorithms, which is highly regarded.
A.A. Knuth's Art of Programming is an amazing book but it's pretty dense. So, it's good if you can read it but it's not 'genearl advice' for everyone. BTW, he wrote the whole TeX system for this book.... goes to show how much effort went into this book.
We require the video you referenced regarding strategies for maintaining mental and physical well-being within the context of this field, particularly pertinent for your alumni.😅😆
wonderful sir, please make more these suggestion videos which help us to become better developer. That's helping to enhance our experience. Thanks you Sir!
Thank you sir for you suggestion. I have started "The Pragmatic Programmer" it's also a good book. I have added the above mentioned book in my to-read list.
thank you for the recommendation, will be sure to read it, one question i have heard that the book "Introduction to algorithms" by clifford stein and others is a must-read for computer scientists. If you have read it i would love your opinion on it and if should we read it. I think this kicd of series where you impart knowledge of how you learned can be very beneficial to us.
Haven't read that particular book. I generally recommend the "Corman" book for algos. I personally went through Knuth's "Art of proramming" but wouldn't recommend that to the general public mostly because it's too dense. If you like the book by Stein, go for it. I don't know everything after all ... =]
There is an Indian teacher that teaches like uh, so much logical approach.Im hugely benefitted from your channel. I think it would motivate you to upload more vedios on other scripting languages and web dev ,app dev etc. Huge thanku ,Sir
Can you tell me the name of the teacher. Would like to see. Appreciate you letting me know. (Also, please stop using this "uh". It's never beneficial to sound unprofessional.)
Amazing yrr just amazing found an another curious personality. Sir g jazakallah book ka reference dene k liye. is see pata chalta hai k ek keemti insan bane me kitaab ka boht bara kirdaar han.youtube pe any k liye bht shukriya sir.
Clean code is a good book. Would recommend going through it if you can. There are always pros and cons to opinions but most of the cons of this sort of book will only take affect after you're already an expert.
Bhai .I am in first year IT .Here in India DSA is very important to get a job in most of the companies because their hiring criteria requires DSA rounds. 2-3 DSA rounds are required apart from development project.. I am currently learning DSA .but you said that DSA isn't that important for software development. That creates a doubts
Appreciate the detailed answer Ahsan. @Bilal ... it is important to do DSA well to get a deeper understanding of CS. Please go through the first video on te "data structures" playlist for details. It's just that if you spend too much time on DSA, you will turn out to be the same as everyone else with not much to differentiate yourself.
Thankyou so much sir! Plus I want to ask how should I relearn python? My base was built on C++ and you dont recommend that. There are many concepts that clash with python and it causes a lot of trouble for me.
Thank you sir.... Kindly sir 1 playlist bna dain... Jisma computer science ka lia jitni bhi compulsory books hn ... Unka bara ma bta dain... And sir... Data structure and algorithms ka lia konsa author ki book best ha?
Assalamu alaykum Sir! I have located this book in my university library and I'll issue it after Eid in'sha'Allah. jazakallahu khayran for the advice. Looking forward to more book recommendations. 💯
Asslam o Alaikum Jazakallah Sir for this recommendation.💞 Kindly recommend more books and share your thoughts on "How we can differentiate ourselves from the others to standouts as a software engineer?". I have been trying to get this book in hard copy since i have watched the video but still not able to get the hard copy. I have contacted almost every famous book store in Urdu Bazar but they don't have it🙂 So I would start reading from pdf for now.
In additon to what Ahsan said .... complete as many projects as you can in as many tools as you can. Post stuff on your website and on github. Watch the how to approach learning vidoes for more on this.
@@recluze Sir I wanna start learning in public. How should I approach it. Should I post what I learned? or Should I post about How to do this and tutorials kinda things? Primarily I want to share things in video format and I would share some posts on linkedin also? Kindly suggest me something I am kinda stuck in this.
Sir please mazeed books le kr ayen state of the art technology pe, Entrepreneurship , Software engineering, Programming, life experiences, sub sub seekhna hai.
Thanks for sharing your experience and a beautiful suggestion, will definitely start reading it. But as far as I've heard from seniors/professionals they emphasize us to first focus on leetcode, solve at least 200 questions and then move to any stack which you wan. But can you share the reason why doing leetcode is not good to a better software engineer?
@@ahsanhafeez7631 Yeah you're right. It was my first video and after that I watched the leetcode video too and it was about correctness and readability of code. Anyways thanks 😊
Aoa, sir code complete by microsoft auther steve mconell avalible in FAST PWR librarary only 1. i reserved that . one thing sir it is good to read early for 2nd sem stundent thank uu.
Sir this book is older more than 20 years, A lot of stuff or if i amn't wrong more than 80% of computers functions, feartures, softwares, programming methods and Ai has joind the chats in every field can we say this book is still useful for today's SEs? Baked by Ai 🔽 Given that technology has evolved significantly over the past 20 years, with advancements in computer functions, features, software, programming methods, and AI, it's questionable whether a book of that age remains entirely relevant for today's software engineers.
This is why you shouldn't be asking "AI" for deep questions. Yes, the advice in the book is still relevant. Underlying principles of things do not change so quickly.
Good question. My recommendation is to just start reading from the beginning and don't worry if you don't understand it. When you encounter code, write it in your editor and run it -- even if you don't understand it. Once you're through the book, go back and read it again.
sir cloud engineer ka roadmap per video bnayien plz asap. pakistan me and karachi me koi bhi physical classes nhi hai training insituitue in cloud engineerr so plz tell
AoA sir those who are doing their it degree online how they can have the access of this book iam a student of bscs doing diploma onsite but my degree is online can u provide the link from where we can buy this boook
Great Video Sir! Highly informative. Would love to know your opinion on the field and scope of Data Analytics in Pakistan? Should one pursue this career if they are passionate about it? I'm a final year CS student btw! Jazak'Allah Khair!
@@ahsanhafeez7631 but this is not specific to one field/niche. One can transition into a business Analyst/Financial Analyst/Data Scientist. But Thanks for the recommendation, i'll check the videos out!
@@recluze thank you sir, what i was majorly clueless about was choosing between the two major fields, Web Dev and Data Analytics. I'll explore both and then decide to choose which i think suits me well. P.S not the best at coding.
@@recluze sir logic building kaisai karen. Apkai sarai task kar liyay ha. Sarai task kiyay ha par friend ki help sai, and stacoverflow. Par logic building without help tez nahi ha
Jamia Ashrafia Lahore has started one year programming course for religious scholars free of charge and they have taught us python after that guide us what should we do I am very interested to become a good software engineer Jazak Allah
Assalamu'alaikum. Appreciate your kind words. For specific answer to your question, please go through the "How to approach learning" playlist. It will give you a lot of things you can do. If you don't want to do too much, I would recommend going through the intro to computing playlist and then watch the "boost your BS" series of videos. That should not take more than a year of part-time effort and it can really help you excel. Other than that, please have someone from Jamia to me. I would be honoured if there is something I can help out with in the curriculum or providing support.
Hello Sir, Is it normal to get frustrated while solving problem. Bcz sometimes when i try to solve a problem i rush to solutions and when i don't understand the problem i get frustrated and depressed. Please advice, Your response will be appreciated..,
