Gaither Homecoming - When the Roll is called up yonder 

Hello, Peter! I was born again and baptized in the Holy Ghost over 50 years ago. Of course only Christ gets us to God the Father, but if you minister you know the Lord uses music & true worship to soften hearts of those who don't know Him. Nearly ALL the old timers in this video are THERE and dancing and singing on the streets of Heaven. BE FAITHFUL to Jesus ... and you can join them. JESUS deserves ALL of our love and praise and gratitude.

I love you guys. You guys are daddy's favorite who is bed ridden and is now fighting with cancer for 5 years and is not able to attend church services. He always asks us to play the video on the TV and watches from his bed. God bless and greetings from India.

my mom was Adventist (God rest her soul) and when my age was 4 years old, with all I sang this song "When the Roll is called up yonder" in our church. It was 52 years ago! never knew it was an American song. Now, I heard a familiar tune from childhood and was amazed at how it performed real musicians with great voices. Astounding! My Grandmother raised me and she used to sing to me. I knew she had come to America from Scotland, but I thought the song she sang were from America as we also sang them in school. Now I learn they were from her homeland. Music is Universal. Thank God every country loves to sing. Just that many more songs we can learn.

Reminds me of my late parents. 70s and 80s good old pentecostal music. They are both in glory land now probably laughing worshipping with many of their much loved Gaither friends .

I listened to this Hymn in October 1963 and I realised that if the roll was called at that moment I would not be there, So I gave myself to the Lord and now I have within me a hope and peace that this world cannot give.

OH dead Lord I so want to be on your Roll . I am doing my best but I know my best will never be enough .

God is good....when our work on earth is done and the roll is called up there ....i'll will be there.

I always think how surprised 7th Day Adventists will be when they discover the moment they take their last breath on Earth they wake in Heaven with Jesus: "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." No "SOUL SLEEP" in the grave til some far off time- when we die in Christ we go instantly to be with the Lord! COUNT ON IT.
