Ever since my childhood days (I'm turning 75 in Sept 2017), we've been singing this song in church (Hymn No 386 in the old "Gospel Hymns"), but always as a slow, devotional song. This rendition thrills me out of my socks! Nothing wrong with the slow, devotional approach, but what an extra dimension this rhythm and accompaniment brings! As a child I heard this kind of choir and song in my dreams or maybe I was awake. I thought the choir was on a huge swing swinging to an fro whilst singing. Softer and then harder. This is the nearest to it, I ever heard. I also thought my two older sisters were singing in that choir. They usually sang a duet in church.
