God spoke to his angels and said I need two of you to go to the earth and bless the people with your voices. Guy Penrod and David Phelps stepped forward.

The Gaither's is one of the first gospel groups that I ever heard. My aunt Grace played them for my brother and I. He started singing with them. My Aunt Grace and I began to cry. We had never heard my brother sing so wonderfully. He sang even up to his death almost. Now he is singing in heaven. Praise be to God almighty. I miss big brother.

I just couldn't be grateful enough for God's river of love; never runs dry and is forever enough for all. When we come to understand the depth of God's LOVE it is unthinkable to be resting elsewhere!

My husband was abused physically and had cancer as a child, when i met him he stuttered so bad he could barely state his name. Today he speaks clearly, is cancer free, and a great father to both our children. The victory belongs to Jesus!!

when my mother was in her last moments on this earth, we all gathered around her and sang all the old hyms- she was peaceful, but just wouldn't let go until my cousin Kevin came in and sang this to her...she passed at the very end. what a way to go!!

I have been struggling for quite awhile now. Just yesterday I asked God to show me that He still loves me. Then today, I came across this song and I know that this was from Him. He knew exactly what I needed. My Heavenly Father loves me!! He cares about me and knows my every need. I have always loved the Gaither family, but didn't know that they are still singing and reaching the lost. Thank you Gaither Family!!

I've never listened to a more anointed, talented, and down to earth group of men. They are God blessed and amazing.

GOD is positioning you for greatness, and no person on earth can change it.It's not being the best or not making mistakes. It's about trusting GOD to be GOD and walking in His will!

This song is done so, so well. I just love the message, its melody, and the harmonies. David's graceful and lyrical presence is absolutely perfect and is complemented by excellent vocals throughout. As much as I love the whole song, the highlight for me is at @3:45 when Guy takes over the melody and David just swings right up into that high tenor harmony. Seamless and powerful. Love this.

When I hurt the most, when I'm down on the floor with barely enough strength the get up, I come here. Your music - such a gift from the Lord - lifts me high enough to reach for Him again... to remember that the Lord loves me. God bless you all.

These gentlemen- especially David Phelps and Guy Penrod- could have chosen any genre of music and been highly acclaimed, rich, and famous. But to know that they chose to sing for God truly touches my heart and gives me that much more of an admiration for them. I LOVE the Gaither Vocal Band.

My father loved this song he would play the guitar and saying there is a river in church they always ask my dad to sing that song the days he was dying we sang that song to him many times this has a special meaning for me!

This song always blesses me, I wance was a terrible drug attic, so lost, cast down , forsaken, forgot, sad, empty, alone, hurting, dead in my sin, I felt no hope, and no way out of my terrible sins, I just felt so lifeless, dirty, I just wanted to die as I kept sticking neddles in my arm, then the dear lord looked down on me and showed me another way , he showed me what a sinner I was , and that He sent His only begotten son to die for me that I might be forgiven, and have eternal life through Jesus Christ, and I got saved by His grace , and am a new creature in Christ Jesus, and have been set free from years of drug use, our lord directed me to the river that won’t run dry, and I’ve never been the same,, ive been clean for many years , and I thank God daily for letting me drink from these waters, I’m Daniel, I’m also Jewish, I’m a Jew for Jesus,,,,,, amen , bless u,,,,,,❤️

You can tell these four guys truly know what they're singing about! I love this song so much I just had to have the album..Now I can listen to this song over and over again! As the tears of gratitude roll down my cheeks. I Thank God for three works of GRACE. Jesus blood-washed me from my sin then he cleansed me and filled me with His Spirit, so that these "Rivers of Living water now flow out of my inner-most being to enable me to love the ones He died to save...

This was my husband's favorite song who went home to be with the Lord in December 2016. It was played at his memorial service
