Where No One Stands Alone was co-written by myself and Mark Catanzero. Mark's father had passed away the previous fall. He and his mother left Kansas City and moved to Central Missouri. Mark was afraid of being socially isolated in a new place. My family also left Kansas City moving to Northern Missouri. I didn't know anyone there and I was apprehensive about moving. We both were expressing faith God would sustain us in an uncertain future.

@@carlislejulien6537 you are correct. Mosie Lister wrote this gospel hymn in 1955. Jimmie Davis recorded it in 1960 for a Vocalion single and Elvis Presley sang it on bis 1967 album How Great Thou Art .

My Dad was a song leader in our church. He and Hiram (Dad's good friend) used to sing this song together. My Dad played the guitar. They had beautiful harmony when they used to sing this song. I would cry like a baby when they would sing together. Well, they are both reunited in Heaven, along with my Mother who passed away from Alzheimer's Disease at the age of 70. My Dad was 81 when he passed away. This song brought back so many memories. Thank You for posting it. David Phelps is one of my favorite singers in the whole world.
